  • A Waste of Perfectly Good Tears.

    September

    2008

I cried yesterday more and harder than I’ve cried in quite a while. When the sobs subsided, all I had to show for it were a headache, puffy eyes, and a stuffy nose.

When’s the last time you cried, and why do we do this to ourselves?

P.S. I love you. Thank you for your concern, I’m okay now. 🙂

I cried yesterday at my grandma’s funeral. Not gut wrenching sobs but I wound up with the headache, just the same.

We do it because it helps purge us, I think. It’s an emotional release that we need in order to get back on track. At least it is for me, anyway.

What? Why were you crying? :tick:

Last I cried was when Mom and I saw “Mama Mia” – I know what the heck! Merryl Streep and her gang were singing Dancing Queen lol You think something inside me was wishing I was Dancing Queen, young and sweet only 17??? Ohh scary lol!!!!!!! :yahoo:

I just finished crying after reading a friend’s blog. Her marriage is in trouble cuz her DH won’t take his meds.
I don’t think that her DH his hit is “rock bottom” yet and I don’t know how much lower he can really get. I’m very worried for them all. And I wish I could be there to hug her, but she’s left him.
So I’m just praying that it all works out…I don’t know if working out means her DH will get his act together, or if this means a new start for her. sigh

I cry any time I watch any sappy moments in movies or t.v. shows! If I watch Extreme Makeover:Home Edition then I better have a whole box of kleenex right by my side. And that’s only for the last 15 minutes of the show!

I hope today is much better for you than yesterday. I am sending positive thoughts your way and {{{{{{BIG hugs}}}}}}. :friends:

We cry because we care. Because we’re human.

And I hope the cause of your tears is now resolved.

I’m an easy crier when it’s sappy stuff…harder to come to tears over anger and sadness or melancholy. I think that’s why when they do come they’re a torrent. I never thought to think I could decide whether or not to cry…it just comes out when it’s good and ready and I just have to let it run its course.

 whatsa matter Leanne? I hope everything is okay!! Life is just so hard sometimes and things just get to us and I guess the tears are just a release that we need every so often, a letting go I guess. I cry when I get so frustrated with life’s problems and stresses.. eventually the cup is full and needs a place to go LOL.. hope you are feeling better.

I’ve been especially emotional lately. I think it has to do with the fact that my baby will be 18 in 2 days, and I’m not doing well with it. I cry over the teeniest things.

Hope today is better for you! :violet:

I cried when my Callie became an angel. I cried when a person who I thought was a good, close friend stabbed me in the back. A good cry..never a waste. It’s healing even with the puffy eyes and headache. Leanne, I hope you are better now. 🙂

I hate the after effects of crying and it’s been a while since I had a really good cry. But I shed some tears a little over a week ago. Just frustrations had to boil out.

Sometimes I think we just have to give over to it. Even though the after effects are uncomfortable, and nattractive. Glad you are better today.

The older I get, the more sappy I get, so every movie, TV show, blog post, etc, etc. seems to bring a tear these days. But a good hard cry is different. As miserable as it can be, I think it’s good to have one of those every now and then just to clear the head.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better now.

I had a day like that yesterday too. It started with a pile of dog poo and ended with a nail in my brand new tire. I’m hoping today is better – for both of us!

i cry over every little thing, happy, sad, the tears just flow. i’m very emotional, and it’s something that i can’t change, i’ve learned to accept.
sometimes you need to have a good long hard cry, instead of suppressing whatever it is that is upsetting you. i think of it as a way to vent, when no one is around to listen but yourself. it’s learning how to deal with things on our own, it’s nice to have a friends shoulder to cry on, but sometimes you need to do it all by yourself.
