Notes: On special request, I purchased and photographed two red roses for my client, who was looking for a custom painting of a red rose. He selected the perfect “posed” rose for the painting, and this is the resulting portrait.

(spotty texture is light reflecting on the canvas.)

Notes: This yellow rose (a Helmut Schmidt) is one of many wonderful blooms I enjoy all summer. This was the last bloom of the year, and was too perfect not to paint.
