  • A weed is no more than a flower in disguise.
  • Completed Catfish Pics!

Yayyyy finally!! I’ll have professional pics to share as well, but for now, these are my final pics. He’ll be picked up tomorrow and clearcoated, then photographed professionally for the brochures & whatnot that they’ll have out all summer. He goes on display in a couple of weeks for everyone to see (and mess up, the worst part, grafitti jerkoids) for the entire summer. In August he’ll be auctioned off to the highest bidder (C’mon, Bass Pro Magazine guys!) Click “read more” for the remaining pics.

I added metallic gold along his side, highlighted his eyes, and put reflections over the “fisherman” to make him look more like he’s inside the fish.

This deserves to be in a fishing magazine. Maybe the centerfold? Then Mark would be a centerfold model.

I would LOVE to see a closeup of the fingers.

And I think the lion is fantastic even unfinished!

Kris! You quit hittin’ on my man, he’s over here blushing and shaving off his goatee and stuff!

I really feel better about this project today, now that it’s done and half-dozen of our neighbors have been by to see it finished. Phew. Thanks you guys, and especially you Care, ’cause you partook in the “behind the scenes” progress.

This is certainly a prize fish or a prize man inside a fish??? You are so creative, Leanne! Looks great. I can’t wait till they put it on display.

BTW, I LOVE THE LION! I want one! Cole approved with a lion roar or rather a “RAR” and he loved the picture of the birds and squirrel!

Paige, did you mean shkuerel? Give Cole raspberries for me and tell him I said thank you! I hope the catfish is well received and stays grafitti free this summer!!
