Notes: This is the second time I’ve painted Callie, her first portrait can be seen here. This portrait was bittersweet, as Callie has passed away. I think this correspondence from Karen, Callie’s mom, says it all:

“Callie was one of the sweetest little kitties that I have been blessed to share my life with. I truly enjoyed every single day of her 10 yrs. Leanne has the amazing ability and talent to capture a kitty exactly as they are. For that I am grateful. This photo was taken of Callie in her bed, the place she loved to hang out-her head propped up looking around. She is an angel now and while she remains in my heart forever. I will have this beautiful masterpiece to grace my home. Thank you Leanne.”
