King was a therapy dog, a gentle servant and loving companion, and his family misses him very much. It must be terribly hard to go on day to day without having any kind of closure, as they haven’t found King to this day. […]

King was a remarkable animal. Bob (who is in his 70’s) is a marathon runner and he and King could be seen running all over town and everyone knew and loved King. Bob and Gloria went with King to visit many hospice patients and the dog has lifted the spirits of so many terminally ill folks in this part of Illinois.

In March of last year, the body of the black lab that disappeared with King was found in the Mississippi river which runs right by our town. They think the dogs may have gone out on the ice and fallen through.

Bob and Gloria still get calls about sightings of a white German Shepard and they still check thing out but they realize that their King is gone.

Seems as if it just begun. I have enjoyed them immensely and looked forward to seeing each one every week. I do love Cano’s portrait. He is so sweet looking. His face, nose and ears remind me somewhat of my dog. Even the little white spot on him is similiar.

Bullet was definitely a one of a kind Cat
had got him from my mom as a birthday present in September of 2003. He was a handful as a kitten . Got outside and took me two days to Catch him because he was really fast that is how he got his name Bullet.

He was just a great Cat who was full of love and very loyal to me and His favorite place to be was in my room usually on my bed till night time when the kids where sleeping. I know I could always count on him for cheering me up after a bad day. When I would go to bed he would snuggle up with me just purring away and rubbing his nose on my head. He Just was my best cat ever! He had tons of personality.

Sadly He became ill on Wednesday and Passed away two days later 11/06/2009.
He was in my lap cuddling with me that morning comforting me and just being the Cat he was when he passed. It has left a big empty spot in my heart. When I go to bed at night I miss him so much sometimes I walk in the room and expect him to be hanging out on my bed just waiting for me.:)

I’ve got my days mixed up! Our sweet Zeb came to us from a not so terrific previous environment. He is afraid of anything you hold in your hand – especially tools, logs for the fire, and the camera. He loves to go on long walks, lounge on the couch with is toes up in front of the fire, and be with his people. He doesn’t have a long story. He is our dog and we love him. His pix are here: http://ladybugxing.blogspot.com/2009/11/zeb-wonder-dog.html

My kitty Jackson, was found by a student of mine. It was a bitterly cold evening and he heard a faint mewing in the bushes. On inspection, he found a nearly frozen tiny tiger striped kitten. The student scooped him up and placed him inside a box with a heating blanket to warm him. Later he talked me into taking him home and I named him Jackson after the student who saved his life. I was going through a rough spot in my marriage and eventually divorced and kitty Jackson was a source of comfort. He and I had a fast bond. He was so loving, had the loudest purr and just seemed to know when I needed him. He would drop toy mice at my feet and wait for me to throw them so he could play fetch. He later went through a difficult surgery and recovery when he swallowed a thread, and I nearly lost him, but he pulled through and our bond was even stronger. Sadly I lost him a year ago to the ravages of kidney failure – he was 15. I miss him all the time as does his feline buddy, Hooper. I would love a portrait of him to honor his beautiful spirit. He was one of the sweetest cats I ever loved.
I will email you pictures of him.
Thank you for your consideration.
Nanci Moll
