Drabulea ACEO ATC artist trading card Leanne Wildermuth oil painting

This is my very first ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals) Artist Trading Card!!! It measures 2.5″ x 3.5″ and I’ve painted it in oils – so when it’s dry I’ll give it a spray of gloss varnish and it’ll be super shiny and pretty.

I’ve been aching to paint something just for me, from my head, for a while. It feels so good to do that! It’s a bit of a dragonfly-butterfly-leaf creature, hence the name, Drabulea.

I’ll list it on Etsy tomorrow. Stay tuned!!

Don’t forget to enter to win a custom portrait in my weekly giveaway!!

OMG Leanne it is gorgeous, I love the colours and the texture you have created with this.
It will look fabulous when you spray it with clear, are you going to paint more, as in a series of cards, that would be fabulous, do a limited edition of cards, and leave them blank inside so as we can put our own sentiments in side. great work as usual.

    Cheers Debra (Australia)

    Thanks so much!

I do hope to paint more! These are like baseball cards. They’re just tiny paintings on little bitty canvas paper. It may be fun to turn them into notecards, though – I’ll see how it goes! 🙂

    Leanne,

I just wanted to let you know that my painting arrived today!!! I have been waiting anxiously and was SO excited when I saw that it had finally arrived.

    OH… MY… GOD… I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I went as fast as I could and left you POS feedback on Etsy, of course, but I felt that I couldn’t gush quite as I wanted to. Did you know that I have the softest spot in my heart for itty bitty things? It is just adorable. Truly.

Not only is it tiny (which I love), and beautiful (which I love as well), and full of talent and all of those wonderful things, but it is number 1. I love being #1 more than anything. But aside from that, it is also the very first piece of original art that I have ever purchased in my life, so I love it all the more.

You never forget your first, my friend. Amazing.

BTW Leanne, my husband is very supportive of my “habits,” he has been brought up to speed (fully on many different occasions) on your work and how I feel about it. He didn’t even flinch when I told him that I was going to purchase the littlest painting and he was excited for me at my excitement when I got it! He’s very nice.

Lets see the next one! Feed the beast.
