    batik zebra iris mood
This is a Batik Zebra Iris – a stunning new bloom in my garden. I felt a little (fill in the blank) when I looked at it from this perspective last night, what does this shot do for you?

In other news – hubby is having shoulder surgery today, and while we’re excited about the possibility he might not feel the pain again that he’s been in for a couple of years now, it’s still surgery, we’re still “getting up there” in age and with every surgery there is risk – so we would greatly appreciate your prayers for safe keeping and speedy recovery.

Praying right now for successfull surgery, easy recovery, wise surgeons, aware nurses, and peace all around. Oh, and I thought of psychomushrooms or Alice in Wonderland when I gazed at that flower…I could look at it forever!

    Prayers sent.

That flower is beautiful! I want some! But I’m sure they don’t grow here.

At the garden center today the guy was telling me that this one plant I liked is a “patio plant” because it wouldn’t survive our winters. Meaning it should really go in a yard further south than here.

discombulated, I feel, but what a gorgeous flower.

Your husband will have a speedy recovery and smile brightly at the lack of pain, but I’m sending energy and good his way (and yours).

The flower makes me feel like I just played in a cool summer shower… cooled and happy.

Prayers were sent yesterday but I didn’t have time to comment then. Hugs!

Thank you all for your prayers! Hubby’s surgery went well and he’ll a one-handed wonder for a couple of weeks – but should be pain free on the other side!

Ooooh. It’s like a bad acid trip, man … ahem … not that I would know or anything.

(Actually, the flower is beautiful. It’s just a little…psychedelic.)

Glad to hear your sweetie came out of his surgery well. Here’s to a speedy recovery and a pain free future!!!

Glad to hear your husband is on the mend!

The first thought when I saw the flower was that I was looking into a kaleidescope. Just a little tilt and the whole thing would shift.

I love working with batik fabrics. Divine disorder.
