Notes: This tortoiseshell cat was an absolute wonder to paint. Each tortie has such a unique fur pattern that I find myself absorbed in detail and lost in the absolute beauty of the animal. The detail in the eyes of this cat painting is stunning.

    I really really love this cat portrait of “Lucy”. I was researching tortoiseshell cats (because I just brought one into my home).. and fell across this page. Ironically enough, my cat’s name is Lucy.

    wow i just “stumbled” upon this and its absolutely beautiful, the cat is so life like when i first saw it i thought it was a photo then i noticed the background and realized it wasn’t.

    Leanne – I’ve been meaning to tell you that your stunning portrait of Lucy is what brought me (like Amanda above) to your website where I discovered your amazing talents! I also have a tortie named Sprinkles because she looks like she was sprinkled with color and she reminded me of a pudgy lil cupcake when she was a kitten… fat & fluffy with sprinkles on top! She’s a long-haired tortie but has the same colors and mesmerizing eyes. I purchased this print of Lucy from you for that reason and I enjoy staring into those eyes every day as I have it framed on my desk! So thank you Lucy for leading me to Leanne and thank you Leanne for creating such a beautiful portrait of my favorite kitty! :thumbsup:
