Medium: Oil Pastel

Notes: This painting was fun to imagine and compose. I combined the Earth’s horizon with a photograph I took of my daughter, peeling away the galaxy to watch over us. It has been a favorite painting from my portfolio since it’s creation.

This is so amazing! I’m taking art in high school right now and we’re supposed to think of an interesting layout and idea behind the artwork, and this is excellent! I love that the girl is opening up the sky. It really makes the viewer think. Great job!
