.. it all boils down to the issues.

Slobokan spent a lot of time on this 2008 Presidental Candidate PDF – print it out and start marking it up, it’s a really great way to find out who will stand up for what you believe in.

Super Tuesday has come and gone here in Illinois – and I got some first hand experience about how these online “polls” that help you “choose your candidate” are completely skewed. You have to do the leg work yourself, and this chart will make it so much easier. I hope you find it as helpful as I have!

Update: Robin left this link – I checked it out and it seems unbiased, as well – another cool resource and place to get some background on the issues. Visit Select2008. Thanks, Robin!

Thanks for the link. I’ll be interested to see how this works. I’ve taken a bunch of the online quizes too and then went in and really looked at why they score them the way they do. You can’t take them at face value. You have to look at the issues and “do the leg work” yourself, just as you said.

Thanks for the link, Leanne. I’ve already voted too, but I’m going to print one for me and one for my husband.

Thanks much for pdf file and the link…very helpful. Is anyone else confused by the difference between “pro-life” and “anti-abortion” ? McCain’s the only candidate that has the latter noted on the spreadsheet.

June – I’m not sure of the wording on that – what makes the most sense to me is the consideration of life beginning at conception. Though I honestly don’t know if that’s the reasoning.

Only problem with the list is it doesn’t leave any room for a middle ground. Do you have to be on one side or the other? Can you be pro-life and still want to let individuals make their own choice…
