Poppies are bursting in my garden, they’re as big as a softball. Chickeymonkey said “it looks like there’s a piece of gum inside.” but they’re so bright red, my camera gets completely confused about what to focus on when I try to get a pic of that “gum”.

Renee – I am loving these, but their foliage is big and broad and they need a bigger space. I’m going to have to give them their own island or something – and gate it so they’re not mistaken for prickly bushes!
Pretty! I love poppies and it’s nice cause, well, I live in Flanders so there’s plenty of poppies around. Lovely picture though! My boyfriend would be sooo jealous of your garden!
