    white pink peony peonies bouquet
Over the years, my loving husband has sent flowers on several occasions (not all of them requiring forgiveness, either, in case you’re wondering). This has left me, fortunately, with many, many vases in storage.

Did I ever tell you about how long it’s taken me to grow Peonies? Yes? Well if you don’t know the story, you can read it here. Now I’m so excited to have them, I cut them as soon as they’re ready and keep bouquets all over my house. This year, I have more Peonies than I have vases. It must be because I cut every one of them last year, I’m guessing, and all that flower power went back down into the roots of the plants.

I have three bouquets in my house, and cut two and gave them to a couple of special neighbors (and by special I mean polite). That’s five bouquets so far, and I’ll be cutting another bunch today.

If you want to relocate, there are a couple of homes for sale down the street.

It’s really too bad we aren’t relocating to your city! Your gardens give me inspiration for our own gardening project (once we finally find a house, that is!). Don’t you think fresh flowers just make the house feel brighter and happier!?

I wish I lived near you too. I’m so jealous of your longer growing season. The Peonies here are budding, but no blooms yet (I don’t have any, but I know folks who do.) But what I really want are my veggies. I’m so hungry for fresh veggies.

They’re georgeous!! I love peonies. (Who doesn’t?) And those soft blush pink ones are just divine! Do you know what they’re called?

I divided mine from my old house before we moved and planted a few pieces here. I wasn’t sure if they would survive since we weren’t around to water them last summer while the house was being built and I planted them in a shady spot for the same reason, but they came up this spring! :yahoo: I hope to transplant them this fall and have lovely peonies next year!

Geekwif – I don’t know what the pink ones are called, honestly, when I bought them I thought I got dark pinks because I LOVE the fuchsia peonies. I’m actually wondering if our soil sucked the vibrant colors away – WHY ARE THEY SO LIGHT?!

I’m glad yours popped up this spring! I know how exciting that is! :friends:
