1. I feel like a proud momma today, celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the birth of this friendship creating beast of a meme.
2. I wonder how many people are meeting how many new people every week when I publish a new edition at the Hub. Did that make sense? I’d love to know how many good friends met because they participated.
3. Ahh, memories. When 39 participants was considered a huge Thursday Thirteen turnout.
4. Aww, this was the first time the code was used. Isn’t she cute?
5. She’s all grown up now, strutting her stuff on Technorati every week, all big and Thursday Thirteeny.
6. She got her own place a few months back, remember, and now she throws these parties every week, and I’m rarely invited. I just get to help her get ready, and clean up after everyone has left. It’s a mother’s job, you know.
7. She has friends, too, that help do the “cool” stuff that I’m too fuddy-duddy for. These special friends help keep her head on straight now that she’s so dang “cool”.
8. She even designed her own line of products. Because people love it, and people support the meaning behind the meme.
9. It means so much to me to know that my nurturing her along helped people meet people, and become friends. :sniffle:
10. Back in the day, she didn’t have a “blogroll“. She had a list of folks who joined in. Now, her list of friends is 255 bloggers strong and has been on display over 56,699 times.
11. I can’t help but get misty eyed when I look back at the day she was born. She was so young, so naiive.
12. I’ve made my own batch of lovely friends that I adore over the last 52 weeks. I am so thankful that people joined in, because if they hadn’t, I wouldn’t have had the privilege of getting to know them.
13. Here’s to another 52 weeks, sweet baby girl! My how you’ve grown!

What an awesome idea you had. I have not physically met anyone on the TT but am planning to meet Denise from Mental Excrements on my next trip down to Tennessee. We missed an opportunity to meet this past week when I was there on vacation. I have met some very interesting and fun people via the TT so thanks so much for bringing all the new friends and blogs into my world!

52 weeks… it’s unbelievable! I’ve been participating half that time and LOVE it! And miss it when I’m unable to join in on the T13 fun every week.

You don’t know how happy I am you’ve started this, and that I’ve been participating. Some weeks when I’ve been stressed, T13 is one of the only things that would draw me to the computer and eventually to other people.
You are amazing, I am very thankful for everything you do and your wonderful spirit.

I too have made so many friends via this meme! Plus, fun to see how different people can be.
Your still the queen of 13, Leanne, and you really know how to speak the language. I joined as soon as I learned about it because I speak 13 as well. It took a few weeks for me to catch on that it was happening. I love the way I can tie up loose ends and meet new friends and write in my native tongue (disjointed lists that are loosely related or like lines in a poem that flows). I counted a few weeks ago and now I can’t remember how many I’ve done. I think it was in the upper 30s! I’m getting old. Happy Birthday. Blow out your 13 candles!

i will always think of you whenever i play the tt, i can remember when it was still in it’s early and small stages as well. i finally figured out i was suppose to sign into the hub, now it all makes sense.
