I’ve been taking pics of our hummingbirds all morning. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out what settings will give me a great still of their wings in motion. Fortunately, I have “movie mode”, so now you can see what I see out my front window!

oh way kewl!!
The first time I ever noticed a hummingbird (in real life) was last year. The family was at the coast and the rental house had a lovely garden designed to attract the birds. One morning I was standing on the porch having a smoke (gasp) and something caught my eye. It took a few seconds for me to focus in on the hummingbird. It was at eye level about three feet away… and it stayed in one spot until my brain could process what I was looking at. “HEY! Its a hummingbird…how kewl!!” Then it took off.
It felt like the Universe had given me a little gift. It was like the bird was making a point of “look at me…don’t you see me!”
As old as I am that was the first time I actually got to see one ‘up close and personal’.
How beautiful! Not to often you get to see something like that let alone film it! I feel so blessed to be able to see stuff like this through you and your blog. I’m glad you’re not a selfish person!! Thanks for the little piece of joy!
Wow that was amazing :shock:. I’d love to be able to see something like that in my back garden. Of course we don’t have hummingbirds over here so I’m a bit stuffed on that front 🙁
