Did you read my comment regarding the “little paper people”? Your artwork is nothing short of AMAZING!!! I remember how talented your mom is with her drawings and poetry. Your gardening talents are also exceptional. WOW Just came back from visiting Natalie in her new Wheaton home. Please email me so I can add you to my address book. Would love to hear from your mom too. Is she still living in Illinois? How is Tommy, Brandy, and Chris? Please reply when you have a chance. I’m still trying to figure out how all this facebook stuff works as well as blogging. Need lots of help. Hope you check this often or else I’ll try to shoot you a message in facebook.

Have a great day!!
Terri

So excited to see you on Facebook; Natalie got me to join and now all her friends are asking to be my friends.

I looked up your blog (how I got here) and see the pix of the little paper people. Thought you may not know that this idea comes from a very ancient craft called Quilling. Google Quilling and you will find out a lot more.

Hobby Lobby now carries all the paper strips, precut, and packaged by color. They also have the tools etc. I use to quill about 25-30 years ago! If I remember right, nuns started this art and it has had a renewal now. Looks like they now call it “paper spinning”. All things old become new again.

I’ll contact you later on when we are back home in N. Fond du Lac, WI. We are here in Wheaton visiting Natalie and are heading home tomorrow.

Have a great day and if you talk to your mom, please tell her hi and give her my email address.

Thanks,
Terri

Love those nature shots! If only I can see so many ‘natural things and creatures’ here in Dubai!

I watched the birds dancing around my yard after the rain yesterday. They always seem to be so happy after the rain, swooping and flying in circles. Fun to watch, but I can never get close enough for a decent photo.
