I was in my 20s the first time I saw a bald eagle in the wild … in Yellowstone. I didn’t realize they went as far east as the Mississippi; I always thought they were cold weather, mountain birds. I guess you learn something new every day.

Lovely shots. 🙂

We here can only see them in TV… So you have a great opportunity… Even if maybe every place of the world has it own charm.

We’ve seen some Eagles too, both Golden Eagles and Sea Eagles, at our summer paradise island. Every time we have seen them I got the feeling of being honored. Once we saw an Golden Eagle nest up close! Huge one! and some Eagle youngsters that just had left the nest. They were not full grown and yet so impressive….

We saw a few in Yellowstone, but not that close (or that … sedentary).

I’ve always loved bald eagles. I’m jealous of you, too.

We don’t have too many eagles around here, I’ve only ever seen them at Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees in the northeastern part of the state, and that’s a good 3-4 hour drive from here.

Where do you live Leanne. If I ever knew I’ve forgotten.
