I’ve just completed this custom dog portrait of Gala, a stunning German Shepherd whose time with her mom was cut short by a tumor in her heart. She was very much loved, and I really felt that love and wisdom coming through while I was drawing her today.

Pete is already on his way home – this is the scanned image of the completed painting. Such a cute pug, a lot of fun to paint! I’ll be reorganizing my studio soon, my new bamboo blinds are in!! I’m excited to paint in there again after I put up the blinds and move things around.

Meanwhile, I have a german shepherd pencil portrait commission that I’ve already begun and will share upon completion.

    Custom Cat Portraits – Moggie

    December

    2007

custom graphite pencil cat portrait original artist art' class=

A long wait in the hospital waiting room, a box of pencils and a hand held sharpener. I worked Moggie’s second pencil portrait, a 6″ x 6″ piece to compliment her first portrait – which I finalized as well, adding whiskers and her name to her tag.

I’ll add a new scan of her first portrait behind the cut if you’d like to see that one in it’s finished state.

I’m offering these graphite portraits at $2 per square inch, which is a really nice price for an original piece of artwork. If you’re interested in having a graphite/pencil piece done, please get in touch with me through my “contact” form (linked in the top menu).

    2007

I’ve finally got all of my painting scans pieced together and uploaded to my portfolio, so I thought I’d give you a quick rundown of what is on display with more quality images than the initial window display photo in my “Now on Exhibit” post.

I posted the Great Blue Heron scan here in my blog because the image in my portfolio is really pretty small.

Here are all the thumbs (linked to their painting details in my portfolio):

    Thinkin’ About a Sale!

    April
    26
    2005

I’ve been tossing around having a June sale since the month is wide open on my schedule.

I’d like to expand my monochromatic gallery, as well as paint s’more custom wildlife pieces. (Maybe even enough to build them their own category!)

What do you guys think? Time for all of you quiet peeps to speak up! I’d really like to know if this is something that my readers would take advantage of if I were to book the entire month of June with custom paintings. That’d be 22 painting days, and 15-20 potential openings. Is it a good month for you? Bad one? Did I miss all the birthdays and anniversaries? Too early to think about holiday gifts?

Of course I’ll be sure the price is right for everyone’s budget, just keep me painting wouldjya? (Couldjya?)

    Wowzers! Look at my schedule!

    2005

I’m in a jaw-droppin’, how-the-hell-did-that-happen kind of state at the moment. I’m booked through Mark’s arrival now. Woah.

    You guys are awesome.

(this is down in the left hand column under Current Schedule)

Now the pressure is on… I will paint until I can paint no more. You will look at me and see multitude of colors pouring out from my ears. When you stop by my studio you will find me underneath a sea of empty tubes of Winsor & Newton Oil Colours, feverishly applying hair to whatever sweet little creature I have on canvas.

    ::sqwee!::

    My dream come true!

(Any other takers? c’monnn…. I want to BLEED pure pigment…bring it ON!)

Today I shall work on The Supreme’s. They will have nose jobs, eye-enhancements and ear-tucks. I will apply hair-plugs and give them chunky white streaks in pre-determined locations. They will each be their own “Swan”, and then later we can have a little pageant! Doesn’t that sound fun? (Am I losing it? You be the judge.)

I’ll flip the switch on the cam in a little while, the Mister is around somewhere and wanted to chat a bit this morning. Check back under “Studio Webcam – OFF” and if it says “Studio Webcam – ON“, c’mon in!

    Woah! It’s up!

I have a *little* altering to do on my old layout pages to make them “match” and fix the links, but other than that, GO SEE!!!

I would really appreciate it!! GRAZIE!!

    Christmas Paintings

    December

    2004

I just received this pic from Lisa, this is her man, Chris, standing beside Talis & Meowface (who arrived in perfect timing on Christmas Eve, thank you USPS!).

    Chris, Talis & Meowface

Thanks, Chris, for allowing me to share! Your painting looks fab against the brick!

I’ve got a few portraits out there that were given as Christmas gifts, anyone have photos to share of their recipients with their paintings? I would love to put them up here for everyone to see (or just see them myself)! The Christmas feedback I get just warms my heart, to know that what I do touches someone else’s heart in such a positive way through the thoughtfulness of my clients, really, I couldn’t have asked for a better “job”.

    Sheba – Final Scan

Aaah! This is a MUCH better representation of Sheba’s portrait! She’s dry & varnished, and will be on her way to her family today.
