Much loved companion of Kathi and her furkids

With so much love and kindness Nakita lived in
our world and made my days brighter. An
always unconditional love she gave to me and
made me a better person.   Her mind was
right on but her body failing.....  I had to
let her go with dignity and its with much sadness
that I let her go. She was a great woodchuck hunter,
stick fetcher, obedience trained, off lead worthy,
 and  great mother to her pups.
I will certainly miss her all the rest of my days.

Just a note to tell you all that I had to put Nakita down.  The arthritis was
getting so bad she couldn&#039;t walk and get up anymore.  It was the hardest thing
I ever had to do...... she kissed me as she lay on the vets table waiting to be
put to sleep.  She was the sweetest dog I have ever had...... no trouble at all
and such a love.
 I got her at 5 weeks old a small 6 1/4 lb of fluff and have had her 15 years...
so it&#039;ll be a big hole in my heart and life now that she is gone.
Her kids will miss her I am sure.. an alpha to the end she was giving them
a talking to as I carried her out the door. 
Loki and Takoda will surely miss her as they were close...... it was the 3 of
them that ran together when we walked the woods for years.
So its with much sadness in my heart I tell you what had to be the
hardest day of my life, letting her go.

					<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m submitting a picture of my Mom for this week&#039;s contest.
She passed away on February 15th just 11 days short of her 84th birthday. She lost her 3 year long battle with cancer with the same grace and dignity she always displayed.
She taught in public school for 30 years. She was even my 5th grade teacher! But I was blessed with all of the life skills she taught me. If I can ever be even a tenth of the wonderful wife, mother and friend she was, I will be happy!
I miss her so much. I&#039;ve lost count of how many times I&#039;ve picked up the telephone to call her just to share something funny that 1 of my kinder kids said or the share the latest news about her grandsons.
Words fail me when trying to show you how special she was. She has  a grandson getting married this weekend. It will be the first time that all of the family - children, grandchildren and great-children have been together since Christmas. I&#039;m sure there will be more than 1 toast made in memory of her.
The picture that I&#039;m submitting of her is one of my favorites. I think it&#039;s because I looked like her when I was about the same age. Many people tell me that I look more like her than my sisters do. I&#039;ll take that compliment any time.]]></description>
