I was going to re-enter Annie’s photo this week but because I am so fortunate to still have Annie with me, I would love to see one of the other entries this week be chosen instead. I think anyone who has lost one of their cherished companions should have one of your drawings to remember their loved one in a very special way.

Wed, 19 Aug 2009 21:08:00 +0000http://intricateart.com/?p=4508#comment-27803I’ll try again… 🙂
Another sad story here… I know I’ve won a portrait of Foofur for myself, but I hope you don’t mind entering for my husband Ron. As Foofur is my dog, our furry friend Boris was his. Of course we both love both dogs like crazy!
We got Boris when he was two years old. His owner was moving to Africa and couldn’t take him. Through an e-maillist I heard about him. When we drove to Belgium to get him, he enchanted us with his beautiful eyes. 🙂 He was a big friend to evryone, including Foofur and the cats. Bastet, our black cat, was his buddy: she washed him, cared for him, slept close to him…
Unfortunately Boris got sick some weeks ago. We tried everything, but things got worse. It turned out he had an inoperable brain tumor. We had to take a difficult decision, but we let him go to the Rainbowbridge last week (Monday). He didn’t deserve to suffer. We miss him sooo much…
His picture is here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=72405&id=677652271&saved#/photo.php?pid=2102495&id=677652271

I would like to re enter Our dog Pony in this weeks contest. She is a Chinese Crested Hairy Hairless who wears little shirts because she gets chilled easily! She is a sweet little dog who loves everyone. I already send you two of her pictures during previous weeks. Thanks!

Tue, 18 Aug 2009 02:40:41 +0000http://intricateart.com/?p=4508#comment-27794Lovely! as always – beautiful work. Sorry, I’ve been absent – we are house hunting – exhausting.
Lego is my 13 year old sons Golden Retriever. Our son has wanted a dog for years, when he turned 12, we decided he was ready. We researched all the breeders, this family kept the puppies in the house, house trained them, had both parents living indoors, papers from 12 generations back and they chose us due to the amount of questions I asked and the amount of times I called back with more questions. Lego has been a gift to our family – he is one of the family. We love him so much and joke about whose dog he is. We all claim him. Lego has been good for me as I love to walk and can’t get out of my early morning walking because he lays his face on my pillow and huffs at me that it is time to get up and get moving. I can’t be grouchy – I mean, look at that face. I would love to give one of your drawings to my son for his room

Mon, 17 Aug 2009 21:53:05 +0000http://intricateart.com/?p=4508#comment-27793To say someone will be greatly missed will be a true understatement. Haas came into our lives about three years ago when we adopted him from the pound. He became our son / best friend. He was a great pheasant hunter and was always over excited to run after a tennis ball. Aug 4th will forever be the worst day of my life. In one day we lost our best friend (hit by a car) and had a miscarriage. I wanted to enter this contest for my husband. I thought it would be nice to have a portrait of Haas to put with his memorial display box. I will be e-mailing the picture. Thank you!
