i’ve never heard of those gloves here, i do have a lowes here now, i’ll have to drop in and look for them. it’s still cold here, i have a few things coming up, but nothing close to bloom as yet. i’m actually looking forward to getting out into my garden this spring, it’s been a long and cold winter.

Hi Leanne ~ Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how much I enjoy your blog. I am a subscriber so I get it delivered right to my e-mail. I don’t always have time to leave comments for all your wonderful entries, but I am an avid gardener and bird watcher….I had a lot more time for all that before, but with a little one it’s hard to keep up with everything. Anyway, I am able to live vicariously through your wonderful entries and photos, at least until my life is more of my own and I can get back to diggin’ in the dirt! Thank you for sharing these wonderful spring flower photos. It is snowing here today…yet again. I think we’ve had more snow in the past month than we have the entire rest of winter combined! I miss my garden. :squirrel: The deer eat everything I plant here, even the stuff that they aren’t supposed to like. The only thing that has ever worked to keep them away is ground feathermeal…but OMG it smells like something died! If you ever pick up a bag of this stuff, be sure you’re hauling it in a pickup truck because if you put it in your car you will never make it home – or you’ll get stopped so the authorities can check out that horrific smell your vehicle is emanating!

Gloves that are high heel shoes for a gardener? Only they don’t hurt your hands like high heels hurt the feet. Those gloves will be the very next purchase I will make!!

Azaleas and magnolias are blooming like crazy here. Even took the kids out for a walk last night to admire them all. I love this time of year. Life is good. :flower:

I have been in to the whole portable garden as well since our move this past year to a very dry, windy area with lots of jackrabbits and deer. I have an upper deck – so I’m looking at the hanging plants like tomatoes, peppers, etc and trying to figure out what I can do with other veggies as well.

Your blog is so beautiful! I’m in the process of switching over to WordPress and reading books on how to make it my own

My crocus have already come up and went. 🙁 and I never did move that one yellow iris by the front walkway…I know that dd & dh will be disappointed with me. oh well. maybe it will happen this year.

I'm going to pick up some galvanized steel tubs (you can see them here) they have them at Lowe's in the paint section and they're really cheap compared to those fancy planters! Just poke some holes in the bottom to drain water and there you go. I think they'd be neat , filled and nestled into some mulch at an angle.

Lowe’s carries the Ethel gloves; one of my goals this weekend is getting over there for a pair. 😉

I can’t wait for my lilies… but I only have one kind. :/

Also like the idea of a portable garden; especially the tomatoes… if I can keep them moving fast enough, the bugs might not catch up. LOL!
