Tommi LADYBUG! That’s a neat name!
Sue, thank you! :lovestruck:
Taba. No. you may not lick the painting. :raspberry:
Robin – That would be a really pretty color combination! :beret: Laura – Oooh, Ralph Lauren, eh? It would be a beautiful wall color. In a library, with rich dark mahogany woods.
BSTS, it’s going to be hard to get an accurate color on this one all the way through until the scan, I think. I’ll to my best!
:beret:
Pamibe, why do I suddenly feel like Nicole Kidman sitting on a swing all by myself under a spotlight? OooWeeeOOooOo… lol

Seriously, it reminds me of some of his hunt club shades for paints. Or even Laura Ashely’s paint at Lowes, I used some of her reds on my dining room wall and it looks just a little bit like that red. That would be a beautiful color on a wall in a den, dining room or living room!
I would pick an English name.. just seems to be rather fitting.

I am a red freak these days so when I saw this it got my attention. What a fabulous background. I agree with you about backgrounds… it is a huge part of the picture/painting. I think the above is excellent.. Catybug!

Not the stinky “manbugs” the good old fashoned “LADYBUG” that you never see any more. Why don’t you just call it CATYBUG!! Yeah, Catybug!!! :lovestruck:

Mon, 08 Jan 2007 16:17:47 +0000http://intricateart.com/blog/archives/2007/01/08/elsie-wip-2/#comment-9454It looks like a good mulled burgundy wine. Sweet, rich and full of flavor.
Mead mixed with burgundy wine and warmed… it would be just about spot on but that is the first thought that came to mind.
(If you have never tried it it is delicious. Mead is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey and water.)
