We caught one in our home once, and had to take it to be “put down” as they carry rabies. I remember having it in a box and taking it to work, we cut away the lid of the box and put transparency film over it so we could take it outside to look at it up close – and it looked like a doberman pinscher! (A very angry one bearing teeth at that!)

We have a lot of bats around, as long as they stay outside eating bugs, I’m fine with them. Just don’t come in my house and circle and swoop my head while I’m trying to watch Batman! LOL

(Yep, Karen, I was watching Batman & Robin when it happened!)

You know how something is so ugly it’s actually cute? Yes, that is a bat. Interestingly enough, I just say a show on Animal Planet about them and they are a crucial part to our environment and ecosystem. Funny, first it’s a Robin …now Batman?

IEW! I don’t like bats. I think they’re intriguing as far as appearances go – like on a canvas or in a picture. In person? Iew iew iew! I used to have to dodge them in my living room in our old house! Eeek!!!

We put another 300 miles on the car today, but Mark’s all hooked up to start working again. He’s feeling much better!

Have fun today. Can’t wait to see the big fish. I forgot to tell you about the bat that was living in my patio umbrella. G.R.O.S.S. It was really nasty. You would have loved it.:shock:
