I Googled ‘homemade dough ornaments’ and found your site. Thanks for posting the recipe, it’s such a great idea! My family used to make them as kids. It’s fun to relive those memories. I just made a few and they are in the oven now. Can’t wait to see how they turn out! Thanks again!!

I loved that I was able to find this recipe again. I remember making them as a kid and now I can share it with my kids and the ones I watch at me house. We are going to send them to the dad’s who just left to go back to Iraq. This way they can have a little bit of home for Christmas. Thanks so much!!

Two years ago, we made cinnamon ornaments that also contained glue and applesauce. They smelled great, and we gave them to the teachers (using different cutters – I’m sure they were like, “What am I going to do with all of these?” LOL) and put them on the top of gifts with the tag. I was actually going to put that recipe on my blog today, because I plan on doing them sometime this week.

We haven’t made dough ornaments, other kinds of handmade ones though… maybe we should do those this year. Time is flying so fast and soon she will be off on her own.

Ooooo like the paw prints. The ornament is a great idea. My cousin was just telling me last night that she tried to make one this year and burned it! I would have been able to laugh if when she was telling me this I wasn’t burning the eggnog cookies and setting off the smoke alarm. Yes, burning thngs must run in the family. :rofl:
