I have always doodled, but they didn’t really look like anything until I really started focusing on learning anatomy etc. about 5 years ago. And just lately, giving myself a little creative freedom to do illustrative work – I’m such a realist that it was hard to let go of the reins a bit and be okay with distorting figurative doodles to create more of a caricature.

I picked up a few cartooning books, those have helped me, and I really love doodling so much more now that I’ve giving myself more freedom.

I’m going to echo what Debbie said, and will wait for your answer! Since I can only draw stick figures and goofy faces, I stand in awe of anyone who can pull a character out of a doodlin face. 😉

Leanne did you always doodle as a child? Or did you take classes to figure things out? I so wish I could put these thoughts in my head to paper like you do! This is a neat illustration and I am curious to what it will be like when unveiled! Good work. And you have to be looking forward to that mini vacation! :meow:
