I don’t relate colors like you do-but I do relate to music kinda like that.

I think aubergine is dark, moody, lonesome.

Wow! That's totally fascinating how you have colour experiences like that. I don't think that's ever happened to me. I wonder why/how you get them. I'm intrigued! As for the colour aubergine... to me it's sophisticated, rich, complicated even and because I often associate colours with food, creamy and sweet like chocolate (cadbury's chocolate wrappers are that kind of colour). lesley's last blog post..A new discovery (for me)

I don't associate experiences with color so much as I do people. Different people are different colors and the better I know them the clearer it is to me what color they are. Of course, their color can change over time, but it's usually a pretty subtle change. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I tell him he's a warm, rich brown. How interesting...your post and the comments to it. I've never had any experience I can remember that evoked a sensation of a color. :no: Why, I don't even dream in color! My dreams aren't B&W either...when I remember them, which isn't too often, I'd have to describe them as being "thoughts". Color does affect my mood and feelings though...or do my moods affect the color? Like songs. I can hear the same song under different circumstances and how I think of the song will change depending on what those circumstances are. June's last blog post..Sticker Shock

What you describe sounds like how some people see auras. I find that kind of thing fascinating. I agree with pam though, to me auburgine speaks of pain or passion, a deep sensuality and intensity of emotion. I adore colors like these. Shades of blue and green (like you used in my design) and deep burgandies, reds, purples, and even oranges. These are kinds of shades I have always felt define me. Color speaks to me, purples comfort me, warm golds make me feel secure and warm, the colors in my home reflects what colors make me feel good. As for aubergine, I find it comforting and sexy, a color I'd enjoy wearing. :cheerful: YellowRose's last blog post..Photo Hunt - ?I Spy?
