Instead I adopt one every year from a sanctuary in NY. Of course they stay there but it does my heart good. I have heard many heart warming stories about how turkeys are smart and can be full of personality. That is more than I can say about some people i know. Hee-Hee.

Mon, 23 Jun 2008 18:30:40 +0000http://intricateart.com/blog/?p=3162#comment-13939I’ve been told, by those who hunt them, that wild turkey is quite delicious. It’s a lot of dark meat and very rich.
I keep trying to entice a turkey to get caught by the front end of my car, so that the only humane thing to do is bring him home and cook him up, but it hasn’t happened yet.
I’m about ready to bribe one of my friendly hunter-types into sharing…

The Tom is always trying to make off with the hens and the peahen, apparently his lady turkey is not enough. These are gorgeous! :clapping:

They are beautiful birds…we have seen them out here a time or two.

Mon, 23 Jun 2008 14:19:44 +0000http://intricateart.com/blog/?p=3162#comment-13935Well the turkeys that we eat are all white! These two are very purty though. I know too many folk who would eat them though…they don’t care about the gamey taste. sigh
I hope your girlies have fun at camp…we’re off to VBS this week.

We don’t have such birdies around here, but if we did, I’d be stalking them. Mwahahaha…heh.
Anyhow, glorious work as always. All I managed to shoot this weekend was music-related.
