Notes: Something about Elsie tugged on my heartstrings. She was a beautiful cat and companion to her mom, and she was loved by so many people, it was clear to me that she dominated my studio and presented herself on my canvas in such a special way.

I enjoyed painting her, and because her mom brought the story of Elsie’s life to my life and heart, I will miss her, too.
