The Pose: Selecting the pose is the most important part of the process. Your pet may have a favorite sleeping position that you adore, or a favorite toy he or she cuddles. Whatever character traits that you think of fondly are things that are important to include, as this will be a frozen moment in time for you to look back on and cherish.

I can help you select from numerous poses if you have many favorites! You can send as many images as you have, and I will work with you and let you know which photo, or which elements that I think combined together, would best capture the personality of your loved one.

Photo Quality: I can only say this, the better the image(s) I have to work from, the better your painting will be! I cannot see what is not there, and it is very difficult to create an exact likeness without either meeting your pet, or having a clear image. I do see things that you may not notice, so before you consider your photo a ‘dud’ as reference, please allow me the opportunity to have a look at it.
