Bird Portrait : Hyacinth Macaw
completed in August, 2005
Size: 12×12
Medium: Oil Pastel Paintings
Notes: This was my first painting of 2004. It is also a fingerpainting, meaning I applied the oil pastel in stick form, and proceeded to create the soft lines, blended background and feathers using only my fingers.
What a gift!!
My favorite, of course, are bird images. My first pet bird ever, Romeo, was a gift from my husband for Valentines Day, 1992. He lived until 2004. He was a beautiful vibrant blue. This blue painting evokes memories of him. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful talent. vh
Absolutely magnificent. Once again the vibrate color. And that little twinkle in his eye saying I see you come over here cutie. Almost as if he is smiling. Once again thanks for sharing.

Very nice picture. I appreciate painters who really try to work excellent work. I saw already painters which repertoire is not rich on good pictures and so I try to avoid this and welcome all who paint precisely. I have nothing against modern art of abstract pictures, but I love to see what artist is really able to do to see his talent in this way.
BEAUTIFUL!! :clapping:
great job! What a difficult medium, and you managed to capture such detail and personality! Beautiful piece!
