Callie’s second portrait is coming along, as well. Her eyes will be further refined and pick up more of the gold from the background, layers of fur will give her depth on the canvas and her whiskers will come forward a bit and really give you that feeling that she’s got her head propped right beside you.

I love all the portraits! Especially Callie the calico (I love calicos). Pooh Bear is posing as if to say “me next, mom!” to which I answer “when you get a job”. 🙂
OOh, maybe you could start a blog for Pooh Bear and get some advertising going for him, then he can start saving up.

Love those calicos. I never had a calico, but did have one they called a “tortoise shell”…all the colors of a calico but all smeared together.
Torties are fun painting, as well – I’ve done a couple – this one is a really popular of mine in print: http://intricateart.com/tortie/
