Qualified entries will include a valid e-mail address, and the comment should include one link to a photograph owned/taken by the entrant. If you do not have a place to upload photos to link one, you can e-mail it to gallery *at* intricateart dot-com. Your entry, however, should be included in the comment section below, with your story – should you choose to include one.
The Selection Process: In case you’re curious, I’ll share my little artsy process in selecting the winner. First – I do not read any entries at all during the week. I do not read them because I don’t want anyone’s entries to have any more time than any others to settle in my creative brain. At the end of the week, I close comments. When I sit down to go through all of the entries, I read the story first, and open the photo link in a new window. When I finish reading, I flip over to the photo and my initial reaction is what I go by.
If your entry is not chosen, you may enter again. I encourage you to include a short story with your entry.
Once you have won a portrait, I ask that you refrain from multiple entries, to give others an opportunity to win one as well.
Your challenge? To inspire me! Choose your photo wisely – I will select a winner based on how the photo and/or story moves me.
Good luck!!

Very sweet, Leanne!
Thanks, Pam!
Adorable! Kissable! Huggable!
I wanted to enter this adorable little guy again. He is so sweet looking but doubt he is as innocent as he looks. He was afraid to come down from the tree for a couple days, right near our back yard so he had to be tricked into entering a trap filled with treats. After he was captured he was taken deep into the forest to find food with out the aid of garbage cans. I think you would do a great job of drawing such a sweet little face.

AWWW it’s beautiful! I love it! You are the best ever! I cannot wait to see it in real life! xoxooxoxoxox :friends:
My entry is a lovely border collie that just recently passed away after fighting a horrible illness. This dog belonged to a friend and my dogs ‘god mother’… they have agreed to take our pups should something happen to Mike and me.
Nicole, Molly’s human mom is completely distraught from her death and I would love to give her this as a gift of memory and friendship.

This was what Nicole had written about Molly:
I will miss you so much my girl….
September 10th 2009 9:51 am
You always had all of the answers. You always made things better. So how do I deal with this girl? My constant companion and my best friend. You have seen me through so many of my life’s journey’s and now you are gone. I can’t do this without you. I keep waiting to hear your happy squeals as I pull into the garage. I put my hand down on the side of my bed in the morning and expect to feel you there. How do I ever fill this empty void and when will the tears stop? I ask God to love you until I can be with you again my sweetheart and I pray that your journey to the bridge was painless and that you are free. You will live on in my heart forever. I will never forget you my special girl. I love you so much. ~Mom
Thanks so much for your entries this week! I’ll post the winning portrait on Monday with next week’s announcement. Become a fan on Facebook for a sneak peek on Sunday!
