    I just finished Rusty’s underpainting. I’ll be completing this portrait tomorrow! BTW, here is what he will look like when he’s completed.

    Well Care, considering that you and Erikie are the ones who got me going in oils, I should thank you two for getting me into this medium! It takes a great deal of patience, which has taken a lot of time to get used to, to know that working in layers will produce the most life-like result. Waiting for layers to dry kills me sometimes since I see it finished and know that I’m one of only a few that can see it that way!

    I do enjoy posting my works in progress though, somehow it brings a bit of magic into this gift for me, and I hope that all of my readers can feel it, too!

I know, it’s just the base for now but I’ve seen hundreds of your WIPs and I can tell this one will be just as amazingly precise!
