    wildermuth fmaily portrait 2008
Like every normal family, getting everyone together in one family pose is like pulling teeth. Moaning and groaning and heavy sighs ensue while I beg and plead since we haven’t had a family portrait in a few years. Well, several burst mode 10 second delay shots later, and we have our family portrait for the year.

I paid a totally different kind of sitting fee.

Thank you, self timer and faux suede curtain panel. Thank you Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 and thank you Corel Paint Shop Pro. Thank you Photoscape and Adobe Photoshop, and last but not least, Dell for letting me merge, crop, save and re-save without delay – or malfunction.

Very nice… :beret: I’m sure whatever the ordeal, it would have been at least that at a studio…

Wonderful picture of a very lovely family. Is that one going in this year’s Christmas cards?

We have been taking our own “portraits” too ever since I got my digital camera. And I so hear you on the moaning & groaning and paying a different kind of sitting fee. It makes me long for the days when I used my old film point & shoot…it had a remote on it! At least with the remote we could have gotten a decent picture with the dog instead of her being a blurr!

Oh and if I had all kinds of money to spend on this, it would be great to have a monitor facing us so we can see how dorky we look and fix that before the shutter goes off.

I also need to take DD’s homeschool picture for this year. I hated the one that she did for our yearbook this year. :p

What’s funny is going to MIL’s house and seeing our picture on display there and thinking “I did that!”

You have a beautiful family, Leanne. Lovely photo.

Reminds me, we need to get ours done. It is really difficult to get everyone, situated and looking or smiling at the camera, all at the same time.

Beautifully done! I must send the family to your house for a portrait. I refuse to do it. I want to enjoy instead of frowning as I know I would. Only my son cooperates with me when it’s time for photos. Sigh.

Great family photo! Funny how much effort must go into a family portrait.

I might have catched them in their bed sleeping… or at least threaten with it….*giggles*

Leanne, this is really a great photo. I love it. And you remind me of an actress..I can’t remember her name but she played in ‘Officer and Gentleman’.
