Because it’s cold. Because there was frost on the grass this morning. Because while burning over 100 CD’s worth of data, photography and paintings lastnight, I saw this one image and stopped for a moment to appreciate nature, and what I miss over the winter months. I miss my flowers, birds, warm breezes, green trees, the smell of freshly cut grass. I miss my summer wardrobe, my flip-flops, not having to bundle up. I miss open windows. Bright beautiful skies. Kids on the swingset, popcicles hanging out of their mouths, shirts stained in purples and reds. Sigh.
Soon.

If you post it, it will come. I hope that’s true, anyway!
now you made ME miss it too… and here I was enjoying hot chocolate, fleece blankets, and snuggling up in flannel sheets with down comforters! Thanks… a lot… :camouflage:
Ahhh, thank you…..I needed that!!!:cheerful:
Beautiful flower and you painted a beautiful mental image of summer, which makes me now long for it, course out her in CA we don’t usually have to bundle up too much, but we have had lots of :gloomy: lately and at night it has been rather cold (for us anyway).
Your photography is *amazing*. What kind of camera do you use? (Sorry if I missed it before!)
Suddenly my Hershey’s hot chocolate seems sorta flat… :grumpy:
that’s so beautiful. we’re actually in the middle of a heat wave here, rain instead of snow, it has to be one of the warmest januarys ever.
Beautiful but I’m not ready for spring yet. I like it :cold: = no bugs!
Even in Florida, we don’t get the same blooms in January as we do in the spring and summer. I just planted a bunch of “cold resistant” flowers and I’m hoping they really ARE cold resistant!! Gorgeous photo, Leann!
What’s up with the weather, anyway? I’ve yet to build a snowman!
P.S. Maggie and I played “Beach Party” the other day. We pretended it was the middle of summer, and turned the living room into a makeshift beach.
Hey Miss Leanne…not that you don’t have anything better to do, but is there anything else I need to do to get on the TT blogroll? I’ve seen a couple of blogs around that I’m MIA…just checking. I put the linky thingy button up on my place, just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something else…Thanks very much. I like your TT!
how beautiful. i can’t wait for spring, either.
I can almost smell the grass you were speaking of. It is a beautiful photo.
Oh, I’m so sick of snow!! Thank you for this!
Wow, that’s gorgeous!
We had shirtsleeves weather at park day today, so I’m pretty OK with my winter. I’d hate to be in Japan with their 13 feet though!
What a beautiful picture. Here in GA we have been having a warm spell.
Too gorgeous! Of course, I don’t mind the cold weather so much, I just wish it would get cold and stay cold and not have any of this going back and forth nonsense.
I posted my Thursday Thirteen a day early. Given how my life has been lately, I may be deceased by tomorrow. :scare:
Beautiful, Leanne!
We get spring early out west, but also tons of rain. We don’t get to mke snowmen though.
Hey! My 13 are up! Yay me.
Hi Leanne,
Are you on spring break from 13 Thursday? I got mine up. It’s warmed up enough in this part of Virginia that I’m going to hang laundry today. No flowers yet.
hallelujuah! :swimming:
