Custom Cat Portrait : Soubi
Custom Dog Portrait : Tucker 5×7 Complete
I finished up Tucker’s second portrait today, the 5×7. I’ve got a photo of both of the paintings side by side so you can see them both completed.
Custom Dog Portrait : Tucker Complete
I’ve just completed Tucker’s 8×10 portrait, so the painting is still wet and pending any minor tweaking. I’ve taken a photo of the finished piece beside the underpainting of his 5×7 portrait so you can see the difference between the underpainting and completed piece. Quite a change, huh?
Two more paintings to complete this week, and three blog designs. Color me yellow and add some black stripes!
Custom Dog Portraits : Tucker WIP #4
Tucker’s neckerchiefs are pretty much complete (tiny details will be enhanced in the last session). The next step after this area has dried is to get that final coat done. I’ll enhance/deepen the eyes and nose and then start applying his top coat of fur. His Golden Retriever locks will curl over the top of his neckerchief and give his portrait that dimensionality that he’s lacking right now.
Indigo takes longer to dry than any other color – so I’ve got them under a fan to try to speed things along.
Random Macros
Can you guess what this is? (Without cheating.)
An inchworm that looks like a twig.
We have new ice cube trays.
Enjoy.
I took 35 photos yesterday of random stuff I thought you might like.
My least favorite kind of animal prints, the ones on my windows.
Ouch. That had to hurt.
I’m not sure what this Blue Jay is doing.
It’s not his print on the window, so what’s up with this pose?
Apparently, whatever he was doing was private,
and I should not have been watching.
Oops.
Holy fragrant flowers, batman, can you smell this?
It makes my head all swirly it smells so good.
This little strawflower hardly smells at all – but isn’t it cool?
I planted 48 asters around my yard. They’re starting to bloom.
I wish they were perennial!
A pretty coneflower, new to my garden this year.
When this bunny saw me, he/she started tiptoeing through the yard.
Like it’s a noisy rabbit. Hah!
Custom Dog Portraits : Tucker WIP #2
Here’s my progress on Tuckers portraits today, I did not work in that kerchif – I’ll get that done next session. It might take me a little longer to complete these since I’m working them both at the same time – we’ll see if they’re ready for more paint tomorrow.
Custom Dog Portraits : Tucker WIP #1
I completed the backgrounds on Tucker’s portraits yesterday, they’re a nice neutral earth tone that will really bring out the Gold in his coat. I’ll work the underpaintings when the background is dry, and I’m hoping that will be tomorrow.
