Whee! I’m rearing to go! Here are the next three pet portraits on my schedule, oooh I can’t wait to get painting tomorrow! I may even work on all three simultaneously. I will let you know in the morning when I’m going to start painting. We’re going to have company so I will be back & forth all day, and I’ll move the webcam back so you can see all three if I do get going on them all. 😀

Just so you know, Tim McGraw will be hanging out with me tomorrow singing everything off his new album, and I think Uncle Kracker will make a guest appearance as well. (Thank you walmart.com!) I’m so lucky! ;P~

I’ve got a couple of paintings to ship yet, too. I will do that Saturday morning since all three (four) of these cute critters will still be drying.

Homecoming is the final title for this painting. The scan is phenominal, and I’ll throw a couple of closeups in here too, the dog tags as well as my sig. Beautiful piece, I’m a proud mama.

I’ll start working on a sweetie of a Calico all curled up. I’ll get her sketched out this afternoon and you can have a look at her tonight before I start painting tomorrow.

Anybody else up all night? Really I wasn’t awake all night long, I fell asleep with the TV on and woke up several times throughout the morning to catch Brit Hume’s “too close to call” monotoned voice.

Ok now I have to say this, it’s really corny and I’m going to pretend I just thought it up myself because I haven’t heard anyone say it yet, so play along ok?

It would be really nice to see Kerry concede instead of turning into Gore Junior. The majority of America has spoken, the popular vote says it all, doesn’t it? Now they’re showing their true colors by fighting it. They have no respect for a majority of Americans. Anyone surprised?

I will finish this painting today. Name suggestions? Anyone? Ok. I’ll just go with my title then.

Fundamental Romanticism.

The dog tags are going to take a while to paint. I didn’t take a WIP shot lastnight since I’ve got it lying down now and the bottom half was wet. It’ll happen today.

Ok I have one other teenie little thing to do to get my webcam on MY SITE. Yes, that’s right. I’ll update again before I start painting, as I might have that finished and have Miss Cam linked to her new destination. 😉

Happy Day After Election Day!

Today is going to be a long day into a late night being election day and all! I do not anticipate going to bed until well after midnight. Anyone elses nerves in a bundle today? All I want to know is that the future of my husbands tour in Iraq is going to be a safe one and that it ends as scheduled. That the Iraqi people aren’t abandoned halfway through the program by a new person who really doesn’t care. Those are just my two major concerns. 😉

So I flipped the calendar lastnight, I bought this very inspiring Flavia calendar for 2004. Here is this month’s inspirational saying:

Today just got up and ran away from me. Where on earth?! Even with an extra hour?!

We ran errands, which for some really wierd reason took a good part of the morning and early afternoon. It was so nice out, I decided to really push my luck (with my foot in a normal shoe) and go leafblowing and mowing the yard. Bah! My owie is fine, but my toes! It musta been the walking funny in the regular shoes thing. LOL

Well the front yard is pretty anyway, all spiffy for another frost, and some ssssnnnooowwww. I still have some lovelies blooming in the yard! Wanna see? Ah well you’re going to anyway. 😉

I played with my digital pics in PSP to give them more depth and contrast. I like ’em, and I hope you do, too!

So did I tell ya I got contacts? he! Ok so I’m wearing them all day today (I even got a winky-dink from a fella in a pickup truck! Wee! Thanks buddy, I needed that today!) Whoo I got sidetracked for a second there, hehe. Contacts. Yardwork. Leaf particles and dirt blowing around into the eyes. You hear what I’m sayin’? Good morning! Did you set your clocks back? I didn’t. Jeez I was walking around in a daze at 5AM this morning thinking it was 6. LOL Dooohhh Thank you Microsoft for the automatic time change thingie. 😛

Today’s MUCH better. I think I got everything out of my system between yesterday’s painting session and a couple of conversations this morning. Phew. Ok.

Starting fresh today, we have some things to do so I will probably paint later today/tonight. The underpainting isn’t completely dry yet anyway, and with all of the detail work it’s better to wait for the surface to dry more so that I can dig into the little stuff. By the time I’m finished, you’ll want to reach into the painting and pick up one of those glasses and have a sip. 😉

Oh, hey! The weight loss stuff, I know I haven’t updated in a while. I’m a mere 8 pounds away from my goal, so what I did was increase my goal. I’m glutton for punishment aren’t I? I’ve increased my goal to 27 pounds, and I’ve got a few months to do it. My foot will be good for treadmilling in about another 2 weeks, then I’ll have another quick surgery which will put me out about 3 weeks total before I can get back into my routine. Watch me melt! 😀

I have the final scans of Mo & Cleo for you, both have been varnished and are ready to ship. I love both of them, they are beautiful animals.

I have my webcam on already. My head and heart are both in need of a major release. I’ll be working on my emotional piece, you may be able to see the sketch on the canvas and you may remember the composition. If the cam lags or anything just hop on Yahoo IM and holler at me there ok? (my ID is “intricateartist”.)

I’m going to leave the webcam on all day, and probably all night, and all day tomorrow. I’m not going to shut it off until this piece is done. I may not check back in here until then either.

Just wanted to let everyone know, if you get an e-mail from me with an attachment, CHECK IT before you open it. I have not sent out anything with a subject of “Thanks”. Your best bet, if it does not have my sig line in it, do not open the attachment. I’m getting mail from myself with a smiley face and attachment, bah. If those people would just spend their time programming or building websites they could make alot of money instead of spending their time being malicious. Meanies.

I have a teenie revision to make on Cleo this morning, and I’m going to start another piece. I’ve revised my commission schedule to give me a couple of days to do something else; I have a few things to do around the house to finish up a project, and I will paint this other piece before I start my next commission.

It’s another emotional painting. Much like my Anniversary Rose piece, this one hit me lastnight and it hit hard. I’ve got it sketched out on a 20×20 canvas, nice and big. I’m not sure yet if I will paint on cam or not, I will let you know.
