    A Must Read :)

Well. In less than 24 hours, I’ll be adjusting to being in the same room with my husband again.

It feels both like an eternity and an instant have passed, and my head is spinning at the moment! I am so looking forward to having him home, and feeling a little sad that you guys may all think I’ve abandoned ship. I know you all understand, and I am so grateful to all of you for your support and encouragement, and for standing strong with me, lifting me up when I needed it. Thank you.

A few replies for you guys, since I’m going to spend the evening “vegging out”.

Connie, welcome to my blog! Your comment was so sweet, I’m happy that you stumbled into my site and look forward to having you hang out here. 🙂

Toni – I called ya. hehe!

Karen, I can’t even thank you enough for keeping me so busy, making these last few weeks FLY by!! HUGE HUGE hugs to you! I will be sending your babies home the beginning of next week.

    Erikie – play nice. 😉

Launie, Riley is dry! I plan to send him to you on Monday as well. You can stop back this weekend as I do not think I will be able to resist posting the final scan!

Lisa & Chris – you guys rock. I’ll scan & post your near-life-sized birdies in the next few days as well. 🙂

Mrs P., hugs. Big ones. And an oink, ’cause it’s a sweet thing!

Sheila, Clara, Taba, Paige, Care, Erikie, KB, Kris, Karen & Michael… Without you guys, the last 18 months would have been pure hell, I would not be where I am nor accomplished what I have. I can’t even express my gratitude to you guys, there are just no words. Thank you for being there, for being here, so devotedly and regularly. For your prayers, your counsel, your friendship.

For everyone who stops and checks in on me, thank you. For your prayers, for supporting our troops and especially my husband. THANK YOU.

I’ll be checking in from time to time, throwing some eye candies up so you can see what’s going on, and back to the easel on April 11th!

    Love you guys!!

I’ve received confirmed arrival times. If you’d like to know, please e-mail me directly as I’m not going to be posting the information here. It’s wierd how many foreign hits I’ve been getting the last few days, and I’m not going to take any chances with it.

    🙂

May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow
May the soft winds freshen your spirit
May the sunshine brighten your heart
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.

    Day after Tomorrow!

    This week is flying by.

I’m up at the crack of dawn, drink about 5 huge mugs of coffee, have some quiet time before the girls get up, and then they’re up. Then it’s breakfast, getting ready for school, doing the mom thing, and getting Caitibug out the door.

Then I get ready to paint.

Yesterday I was up at 6, started painting at 9, and finished at 4. We had “pizza night”, “scrub the floors” night, “bathe the guinea pig” night, and “go to bed early ’cause what an exhausting day” night. Vacation? What’s that?! Hard to believe that within the next 24 hours I will complete my last painting before Mark’s return, and I will (try with every ounce of my being) not pick up my brushes for over a week. That just seems so wrong!!

The Catfish was delivered yesterday, you can see him here in my studio.

With that, I’m going to go enjoy the Cardinals who are gracing my backyard with their song, and get 4 additional cups of coffee, and paint all day today, much like yesterday!

    Have a good one!

Yeppers, just got a tentative schedule, this is when we’ll be seeing The Man for the first time in MONTHS!

    Saturday, 2 PM.

I’m sure that will change in the next 24 hours. It’s the military way! 😉

    Stopping for one moment!

    It’s already 4PM?! Cripes.

Well. I was up at 6:30 this morning stripping the beds and starting wash. I cleaned the refrigerator, took out the trash, cleaned the bathroom, folded and hung Mark’s entire wardrobe, changed the wash, vaccuumed every floor, shampooed every floor, hooked up my new refurbed flat panel monitor that I got for about 3-cents ’cause I’m so cheap (hence the background color change, and Tony, I’m sorry I put you through that. LOL), went down and got my hair done, grabbed lunch, picked up a new Rx for Caitibug whose eyes have worsened so we’re going to drown her little eyeballs in antibiotic drops until they’re normal again, changed the laundry 4 times so far, and took a pic of my new do (and eyes all dolled up) and here I am.

Do I get a prize for having the longest run-on sentence ever? See if you heard me say it on the phone, I would have said it just like that, without breathing. So if you took a breath, go back and read it again. Really fast this time.

Here’s me a little while ago. I just got the standard chop-chop and chunky blonde color. Jeez is my nose really that big?? HONK HONK.

Yes, I’m going to paint. Yes, I’m going to scan in the three kitties. Yes, I’m going to resketch the macaws. One thing at a time, beginning right now! (On your mark, get set…..)

OH and my new screen resolution is 1280×1024. Everything is teenie on the screen, anyone know how to make it a little bigger without stretching it all wonky like?

He’s arrived on base, where he will spend the next 5 days going through “detox” as I like to call it. Right now, he’s probably kicking back with a brewsky unwinding with the boys, and hopefully he calls me later ’cause he’s a funny drunk. hehe!

Me, well, I’ve got W&N oils oozing out of my pores and I’ll be painting all day today! I’ll finish up Kayda and get the underpainting going on Riley, and hopefully re-sketch the Macaws so I can get their background done as well.

Going to go turn the cam on!

Just got a call from The Man, he’ll be stateside TONIGHT!

    WAHOO!

Update on Caitibug: Blepharitis. Ever heard of it? “An inflammation of the eyelids, usually caused by an excess growth of bacteria that is ordinarily found on the skin, and occasionally caused by allergies.” Iewww! She’s on antibiotic eyedrops and oral antibiotics for a week now. The clinic was jam packed, so I’m sure I’ll start coming down with something in the next day or so. Why not? Daddy’s coming home, so we must all be unhealthy for his arrival! That’s the way to do things at my house! Bah! 😛
