I finished it. I don’t know what to call it now. Seems things change every couple of hours around here, so I need to think of a more appropriate title. Strange, normally my paintings “tell me” what their titles/names are while I’m painting. This one has had quite a few since I started it, and none of them fit how I feel about it right now or how I would like others to feel when they look at it.

I’m going to go paint the edges, will scan it tomorrow and post a better image.

    ‘Nite, my friends.

    Election Day !!

Today is going to be a long day into a late night being election day and all! I do not anticipate going to bed until well after midnight. Anyone elses nerves in a bundle today? All I want to know is that the future of my husbands tour in Iraq is going to be a safe one and that it ends as scheduled. That the Iraqi people aren’t abandoned halfway through the program by a new person who really doesn’t care. Those are just my two major concerns. 😉

So I flipped the calendar lastnight, I bought this very inspiring Flavia calendar for 2004. Here is this month’s inspirational saying:

“May we take time to give thanks for this sweet life, and for the wisdom of those who’ve helped us to see it more clearly.”r />Jay and Cocoa were having some sweet moments this morning too:

You can see more full size pics of them both here.

I plan to finish my emotional piece today, and I will need your help on a name! I have one in mind and I am really curious to see what you guys think of. Let me know, and then I’ll let you know! I do have commissions to get to though and I apologize to those on the schedule who are waiting for me to start theirs! A couple of personal notes, one for KM – I am wondering if AOL is filtering mail from my server? Let me know if you’re receiving e-mail from me. And DJ – I had e-mailed your composition and will start yours after KM’s..I know you’re busy so when you get a minute drop me a note and your thoughts on it! 🙂

Okee doke friends, the webcam is ON and will have it on again all afternoon!

    Oops! Sorry friends!

Today just got up and ran away from me. Where on earth?! Even with an extra hour?!

We ran errands, which for some really wierd reason took a good part of the morning and early afternoon. It was so nice out, I decided to really push my luck (with my foot in a normal shoe) and go leafblowing and mowing the yard. Bah! My owie is fine, but my toes! It musta been the walking funny in the regular shoes thing. LOL

Well the front yard is pretty anyway, all spiffy for another frost, and some ssssnnnooowwww. I still have some lovelies blooming in the yard! Wanna see? Ah well you’re going to anyway. 😉

I played with my digital pics in PSP to give them more depth and contrast. I like ’em, and I hope you do, too!

So did I tell ya I got contacts? he! Ok so I’m wearing them all day today (I even got a winky-dink from a fella in a pickup truck! Wee! Thanks buddy, I needed that today!) Whoo I got sidetracked for a second there, hehe. Contacts. Yardwork. Leaf particles and dirt blowing around into the eyes. You hear what I’m sayin’? Yea they are burning pretty bad about now, so I better …

    I hate to say this…

    not paint tonight. 🙁

I blew the program. Forgive me? Ok. So, don’t forget to turn your shirt right-side-out, and vote on Tuesday, or by Tuesday (insert subliminal “for GW” here). I’m sure I’ll be here before then to remind you again. (I fibbed about the no more politics thing. Daggone us Republicans. We’re just awful.)

Baahahahhaaaa Ok I am going to get these contacts out of my eyes! Nitey nite!

If you are still deciding who to vote for, Mark said something this morning that really says a lot about what we’re doing in Iraq.

“Please tell me Bush is way ahead in the polls.”

Please keep the guys in mind when you vote. It’s not just about us here in the States, it’s about the success or failure of what we’re doing over there. What he said is truly how the majority of our military feel about the situation.

/end politics until after election and it’s in litigation.

    ;P

    Better day!

Good morning! Did you set your clocks back? I didn’t. Jeez I was walking around in a daze at 5AM this morning thinking it was 6. LOL Dooohhh Thank you Microsoft for the automatic time change thingie. 😛

Today’s MUCH better. I think I got everything out of my system between yesterday’s painting session and a couple of conversations this morning. Phew. Ok.

Starting fresh today, we have some things to do so I will probably paint later today/tonight. The underpainting isn’t completely dry yet anyway, and with all of the detail work it’s better to wait for the surface to dry more so that I can dig into the little stuff. By the time I’m finished, you’ll want to reach into the painting and pick up one of those glasses and have a sip. 😉

Oh, hey! The weight loss stuff, I know I haven’t updated in a while. I’m a mere 8 pounds away from my goal, so what I did was increase my goal. I’m glutton for punishment aren’t I? I’ve increased my goal to 27 pounds, and I’ve got a few months to do it. My foot will be good for treadmilling in about another 2 weeks, then I’ll have another quick surgery which will put me out about 3 weeks total before I can get back into my routine. Watch me melt! 😀

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday, I plan to!!!

    Back later…
    kisses & hugs!

I have the final scans of Mo & Cleo for you, both have been varnished and are ready to ship. I love both of them, they are beautiful animals.

I have my webcam on already. My head and heart are both in need of a major release. I’ll be working on my emotional piece, you may be able to see the sketch on the canvas and you may remember the composition. If the cam lags or anything just hop on Yahoo IM and holler at me there ok? (my ID is “intricateartist”.)

I’m going to leave the webcam on all day, and probably all night, and all day tomorrow. I’m not going to shut it off until this piece is done. I may not check back in here until then either.

Thank you. For your thoughts, prayers, and e-mails. I love you guys. (sniffles)

Here are the two beauties of the day:

    Cleo’s reference (I’ve already posted Mo’s):

    Paperwork, Politics and Painting.

I’ve been waiting for all you guys with rakes. Where have you been? I have a lotta leaves, and a gimpy foot! hehe.. no no no, Don’t feel sorry for me, the stitches come out TOMORROW! I still can’t feel my toes, but she cut 3 inches worth of surface nerves so I’m not expecting a full recovery right away.

About the leaves, I hand picked these out of the yard last weekend and they’ve dried out. I really like the one in the foreground. Green or red? It looks undecided. That’s how I feel about the season, too.

I am going to get three paintings (and a print) in the USPS system today, bon voyage, safe and speedy trips for you all! Paperwork…yes I procrastinated on the paperwork and I am procrastinating now. I will have it done by 9AM! ;P

Mark is offline now until around Thanksgiving. We hadn’t seen eachother since he got back over there (I sent him a laptop and webcam), it’s a tough situation of course so being able to see us and our home is pretty daggone hard. Well since we won’t be chatting online for a month, we kicked up the cams and jeez. I didn’t think it would be THAT hard. I think we were all bawling.

Politics: Let me just say this. I’m tired of it all! LOL What a couple of big children “No I want the job!”; “No! I want it!” … Have they thought for a second about how to actually sway people into voting their way? Perhaps something more intelligent for us to chew on, and quit the bickering and finger pointing? Sorry, my cable TV covers the swing state of Iowa, so every commercial is a political one. Thank God for the internet, I can shut the TV off and do my research online. 😀 You know that the whole thing is going to be held up in litigation for 4-6 months anyway, will we still know who our President is on Election Day? Bah! I know I’m still young to the political world, This will be only my third vote, but has it always been like this? I mean just chaos? I don’t remember all the chaos. LOL

PAINTING. Yes I’ll be working on Cleo again today. As soon as I get my “administrative” stuff done, I’ll start up the cam and let you know!

It’s Wednesday. Hump Day. Day before Stitch Removal Day. Day to do the stuff you said you were gonna do yesterday day.

    Have a good one!
    😉

Today’s Mark’s last day online until Thanksgiving. Somehow hearing that rooster gives me a sense of calm every day, to know he’s just a click away.

Mark – be safe, don’t pull your back moving that heavy stuff, and you can catch up on paintings when the rooster crows again!! Love you hugely…
