She’s been added to my main gallery in 3 categories: 2005 : All paintings, People Portraits, and Monochromatic Paintings. You can leave comments on her portrait in any of these locations!
I just completed Adriana’s portrait, I am so much more pleased with this color scheme on her!! Aaah. I’ll post scans after she’s dry.
My palette: Burnt Umber, Flesh, Naples Yellow Light/White
I told you I was painting. See? Here’s Adriana’s head. Wierd lookin’, yes, she has no body. You’d look wierd too if your body was just a sketch. heh.
😛
This is Adriana, she’s getting a peachy monochromatic portrait painted of her!
HERE she is. You can also see the close-up of her eyes, which I think turned out just purpley!
This is going into my monochromatic series. I use a limited palette of 3 colors (normally), Carrie’s consists of indigo, violet and flesh. I did end up using just a smidge of white as well on this one. I wanted this series to be a little more “loose” than my regular works, with more visible brush strokes. It’s hard for me to let that happen, but there are some visible here! LOL
Also, if you don’t know the “who” of who this is, you can visit the Purple Tigerpixie’s website here, or her blog, here. She’s an artist and friend, so you can see her work, too!

Mark unchained me today. I escaped to the studio for a couple of hours, and this is what happened. I’m a mess. Can’t even go more than 3 days without painting?! Is there a group for this kind of thing?
Woah! It’s up!
I have a *little* altering to do on my old layout pages to make them “match” and fix the links, but other than that, GO SEE!!!
***ATTENTION ALL CLIENTS***
If you’ve purchased or commissioned a painting from me, I’ll take this opportunity to ask that you please browse through the main gallery for your painting(s), and click the “comment” section (below the painting description), and leave a comment on how you like your painting, and how I handled things with our transaction. I would really appreciate it!! GRAZIE!!
Here are the final scans of “The Boy” (Cole) and my Grandma. I am planning on creating a monochromatic gallery with the new layout, and will be painting more of these in this loose and “less photorealistic” style. I have a few more pieces in mind already, and will pursue those after the holidays and template changeover.
