    (from last progress update… “This is an 11×14 oil painting, a custom dog portrait – he’s a black poodle. I’ll post another progress when I complete his underpainting.”)

    This is Joey’s completed underpainting. This is the base from which I’ll paint his fur, deepen and brighten his eyes and mouth, and give his coat a nice soft shine.
