We finally got around to “upgrading” our pillows from smashed down polyfill to down and down alternative pillows this weekend. JCP was having a home sale, buy one and get another one for a buck! Who could resist? So we treated ourselves, and it was good.
We’re both sleeping great on our new pillows. Me, I’m out as soon as my head hits it. It’s so soft and squishy and I feel like I’m drifting away in a suite in some fancy hotel room. Little luxuries. I enjoy them very much.
Except for the crazy dreams. My sleep is deeper now, so my crazy dreams have returned.
Imagine being in a room on the second floor of an apartment or hotel, opening the front door to find stairs too steep to climb with kids and luggage (the stairs weren’t like that when we arrived), and the back door had a platform to leave that was about 2 feet wide and deep. No railings, just a big piece of wood that I guess we were supposed to pull around to the side and slide down on? I don’t know – but imagine then turning around to find your 5 year old in a pouncing position at the ledge just happy as a clam to jump right off and down a full story to the ground.
I love my pillows, but jeez. Do they have to scare the crap out of me every night now?

I hate it when my dreams scare. Think Medium, where she wakes up gasping.
But, before you go to bed you should state what your dreamtime should be. You want happy dreams. You want clarity on what these crazy dreams mean. You want to sleep and not be disturbed by your dreams, you need your rest. Like that. Makes a HUGE difference!
And, if you have “time” (HA!) maybe journel your day. Get some of it out of your head. You are processing your day, during the dreamtime.
Hugs! And good vibes for sleeptime!
Can you tell me the name of the notify plugin you have on this page? THANKS

I won’t talk about the one with all of the pregnant women in my house then, the one woman that went into labor but the medics wouldn’t take her – but they took me for a ride in the fire truck and we passed a farm where a bunch of different farm animals (cows, chickens, horses, etc.) were all gathered in a group – and PREGNANT. And then to return to my neighbor getting beaten by her “spouse” and them hauling him off in a squad car but not before he ordered her to get him an attorney. After he beat her up.
Yeah, them’s some wierd dreams going on.
Leanne, say it ain’t so, Joe.
That is a crazy dream! I’m not sure I want to get new pillows now.
Just popping over to thank for the Thursday Thirteen. I’m sure the amount of work it took to keep everything together was astounding. I’ve really enjoyed participating. :thanku:
Down pillow gives my neck crick. It’s too soft, and the goose thingy makes me sneeze. I guess I’d destined to be “pillow-less” unless I am just laying down flat on a hard floor. I can live without pillows.
I love down pillows! i am hoping to buy some soon.
:thanku: for your Thursday Thirteen. I will miss it and I just wanted to say thanks for bringing it and all those wonderful people into my life.
maybe the dreams are your allergy to down pillows. 🙂 they just make me sneeze
Aaaaachooooo! No down pillows for me thank you. :zombie: I’ll stick to my “not too flat” pillow.
Come to think of it I haven’t remembered any dreams for the past several months. How boring is that? I used to have 2 – 3 vivid dreams every night. Maybe I do need to switch pillows????
I have weird dreams a lot too. I read the comment by Nancy at the top and that sounds like some really good advice. :bunny:
We really need better pillows and new mattresses for that matter.
Dear Dreamer,
I had a similar dream recently when I got my new down pillow (My Dreaming Mind put me on a bicycle high up on a clackety swinging bridge with some slats missing – over a place that looked like the Grand Canyon when I looked down).
Your Dreaming Mind is telling you that it approves of your new down pillow and oh the places and adventures it can show you now!
