Sexaaayyyy man, look at those eyes. Mmmm!! I’m playing with my new camera now. 🙂
I’ll keep updating with more new camera pics & put them behind the “read more” tag!
These are all cropped down tightly to maximize the detail for you guys. The original image size is huge so you can just imagine the detail in these shots!

Same morning dove, relocated closer to the seed, zoomed again at 12x from about 30 feet:
Same morning dove, nestled in the seed now:
Black squirrel, if you’ve never seen one, they’re very common around here, and very, very black!
Oops, I think he has some corn stuck inbetween his teeth.
Our Cardinal again, singing up a storm:

I’m surprised the lens didn’t melt after you snapped that pic of mark! let me just say it looks like he is looking at YOU (leanne) and not the camera. the eyes of a man in love?
and the cardinal is nice too. 😯
Hi Leanne, beautiful pics!! What kind of new camera did you get? I’m just curious as I purchased one on line from New York yesterday and its an 8 mgp one that I hope will take great professional looking pics.
Sue
Hiya Sue! I picked up a Panasonic from Broadway Photo (link is down in my “Be Artful” section in the right column). My requirements were that it have an insanely huge optical zoom since I take my own animal reference pics, and macro ability. It’s a 5.36MP which will produce large prints, anything over 6MP is more for supersized posters. I’ve been looking at an 8MP as well, but when I called Broadway he steered me in the direction of this one for semi-pro images, and so far so good! 😎
Kris, I think you can read him pretty well!
I replaced his cammy pic with the new one. I just love it!
Did you get the FZ20K??? That’s the one I just bought and IT ROCKS. I have a bunch of floral macros up on my photoblog if you want to take a look…Your pics are great! I have not fooled with the zooms yet, but I can’t believe the detail on the dove on the wire-right down to the feet. Very cool.
New toy YAY! Cool pics girl! So it’s ok for you to buy my the 8mp for my berfday (I’ll let you)
Leanne, I have the Panasonic Lumix FZ10, bought it a couple years ago, and I love it. When I upgrade to a new one, I’ll probably get the same kind. It seems to be the only digital camera with a whopper zoom.
caren
Do you have a walking stick or use a tripod all the time with yours, Caren? After my battery was charged, I took about 50 pics yesterday to get a feel for the settings. It has an image stabilizer but if you’re too shaky that doesn’t help much- do you have any problems with your full-size not being as sharp as you’d like because of the camera’s sensitivity?
I actually got up early so I could play with it s’more! 😛
Erikie-NO! I already have your present picked out and it doesn’t include 8MP! 😉

[…] When it arrived, the first photograph I took made my jaw drop. Not just because the subject is handsome as hell, but the quality of the image was amazing. I was in love with my new camera, and I couldn’t put it down. […]
[…] but not least, what I was looking for. Snow on March 23rd, and I caught it with my (then) new camera. The snow has fallen once again this year, after Spring […]
