My Friday has to be better than My Thursday. First, our Cardinal playing peekaboo out back, he’s just candy. Totally unrelated to yesterdays events.
Second, I have a question. Let’s say you get a gift, from someone you didn’t expect a gift from, someone you never talk to or even see. Let’s say you dream about the gift and how not right it feels to even accept it. What do you do?
Third, while all of my good friends were off bloghopping the TT, I was combating a hacker in my system. Here’s how it went: Leanne visits first blog left in comments. She opens the window, reads Thirteen Things, in the process the open window has gone inactive for no apparent reason 3 times. She has to click the window to activate it, then scroll. Opening comments, the comment page also went inactive several times, as though something is running in the foreground, but nothing is running in the foreground. She begins typing a comment, and the words start looking lkei tish because the cursor is being magically repositioned to the space before the letter she just typed. Thinking the blog she was visiting was cursed, she tries another TT. Same thing.
As you can see from my list of Thirteen’s I visited yesterday, I didn’t get far before I was cussing my fool head off and running Panda Activescan Pro on all three of the puters on our network, spending hours cleaning and eliminating.
Last but certainly not least, by the time I finished all that jazz, I glanced at our daughter who we’d been treating for allergies since she rubbed her face all over our sweet new puppy next door. She already had a small scratch on her face, now accompanied by a nice rash and some swelling. It appeared to be getting worse, and the combination of benedryl and topical antibiotic wasn’t helping much at all. By the time she was out of her shower, it was horrid, and I was on the phone with the doc to get her seen before the weekend. Off we went for the afternoon, searching for a cure. Gah.
“The skin normally has many types of bacteria living on it, but intact skin is an effective barrier that keeps these bacteria from entering and growing within the body. When there is a break in the skin, however, bacteria can enter the body and grow there, causing infection and inflammation. The skin tissues in the infected area become red, hot, irritated and painful.
Cellulitis is most common on the face and lower legs, although skin on other areas of the body may sometimes be involved.” (source)
Our daughter is prone to cellulitis with every mosquito bite she gets throughout the summer. This is new to us though, an infection from an allergic reaction to the oils in the puppy fur that got into an existing surface scratch. Jeez. Now she’s on antibiotics, as cellulitis needs to be cured from the inside out.
As I’m editing these pics for you, my program just had some fatal error from an AWOL cab file. Lovely. Tell me this isn’t repeat Friday, would you?
Sigh.

The Cardinal pic is mag! :good:
Your poor girl…! My grandson is allergic to dog fur and can’t come to my house because of my four legged kids, so I know how scary those reactions can be! Hope she’s doing much, much better!
Merry Christmas Leanne! I love the picture of the cardinal… so beautiful. Sorry to hear yesterday went so rotten for you. *hugs* Hopefully today goes much better!!!
Leanne dahlink! Try this on your pc before you go nuts and throw it out a window… k? go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com… they have absolutely the best antivirus webcheck there is… and now they have added one for spyware. It is only slightly invasive but has been the best software I have ever used and comes recommended by my IT guy. He says Norton does not catch have the stuff out there that trend micro does. My version updates several times daily, whereas Norton updates once a week.
Give it a shot and let me know how many problems it eliminates for you!
Hugssssssssssss!! :friends: :cheerful:

Hi Leanne, I hope you have a great Christmas. That cardinal picture is awesome. Sorry you are having those problems with the hacker stuff.. Geez… that crap is such a PITA and the time it takes to fix is so frustrating. Hope the little one’s cellulitis gets resolved soon and that it isn’t to bad for her.
Sue
Have you figured out the source of your hacking? Wierd. I hope your daughter feels better. I saw some pretty nasty cellulitis as a nurse in pediatrics. We oftern gave them injections to cure the infection.
Take care and Merry Christmas!
I sorry, Honey. I do think something’s still got’chya, though. I agree with Phoenix – Trend Micro – the very best!! :good: I’m sorry about the infection – kisses on the cheek to Cait. Smile a bit and things should get better!
I love you! Hi to Jay and Mr.!! :iloveu:
How dare they virus you! Don’t they know you are the wonderfully talented artist, Leanne, who has no time for that crap!?!
I’m glad your day is going better. As for the gift, if I ever will see them again, I’d get something for them. If not, a thank you note.
And I really hope your baby girl feels better.
