This. This is my daughter. (Catybug.)
She was challenged in youth group to be different.
She succeeded in surprising everyone who saw her yesterday.
I admit, I love to play dress up with my girls.
I also love playing portrait photographer when we’re done playing dress up.
Which portrait is your favorite, and how did you react when you saw her?

Love the last one. It is very GOTH and she is speaking to us with her eyes. The first one she looks too sweet, which she probably really is and the second is not showing her depth. But that third one says it all. congrats on a great fun portrait!
I think she likes it. That’s what her face says to me, Mom. Watch out :giggle:
WOW~ I think she looks AMAZING~ Im all about people dressing the way they feel comfortable and I think people see others for how they look on the outside rather than on the inside. I think this is a PERFECT example of daring to be different. I know Catybug on the inside, and if she were to dress this way~ then more power to her!!! I think its a great example of how we should all get to know people before we place judgement. 🙂
Wow! I know some people think Goth is to strange but she looks awesome!
I think I can see that she is uncomfortable in all of the pictures. But I like the second picture best.
I saw the title first so I was expecting someone to be looking goth, I don’t think I was expecting Catiebug though.
That said, you did the look right. She does look very goth (we’ve been exposed a few times) only the one gal who was my age and still not grown up also wore striped tights to look like a witch. 😉
The last one is definitely the most Goth…her sweetness comes out too much in the first two. 🙂
OMG Caitlyn! wow. she really did wat p.Ron asked her to! whoa! thats crazy but im proud of her good job Caitlyn!
<3 Sara H.
I like the first one. Just something about the awesomeness of her gothness (the eyes!) against that vivid backdrop.
Wow…she looks awesome! Surprised me!! The third one is the one that says everything to me. Her expression, her eyes, it says “gotta problem buddy?”
The second one, I like alot because she has this look of mischief. Like I may look goth, but I’m really Tinkerbell on the inside, so watch out folks! :giggle:
Cool!
Awesome transformation! I wouldn’t have guessed it was your daughter right away (although I had a sneaking suspicion maybe it was). I love that this was a challenge for the kids. Sometimes you have to dare to try on someone else’s “skin” or clothes or hairstyle to understand that a look can be just that…a look. Underneath, they’re still human.
I love all three images, but the last one is definitely the moodiest of all. You both did an excellent job with the transformation.
Your daughter looks fab, Leanne. Wonderful pictures.
The first one works the most for me, I think because of the background. On further inspection though, you can see she has those bobble hair elastics – not really very goth.
Good job on the photos!
The third one scares me a little. :tick: Wow, it’s amazing what a little makeup will do…
This is your notice… I gave you an award!! Er… two awards, really. LOL!
I liked the first one myself. It seems that you caught her during a thought. I have a little goth girl and she looks very goth but no nearly melancholy enough LOL.

This is my little darling. She is REQUIRED to look NOMAL (for her mommy) 3 days a week. Just so I don’t forget what she looks like.
Sorry I managed some spelling errors in the last comment.
Please forgive my typing excessively fast. And not double checking before I hit send.
Wow, I thought she’d undergone a metamorphosis! I hope she had fun dressing up.;) She’s got that look in her eyes, kind of made me grin.
And as a mom of teenagers, I’ve got to add, watch out! LOL!
i liked the last one best, it’s in her eyes.
Very cool pictures! :violet:
She looks great, I’m really into the goth look.
She looks cute in the first one, sly in the second one, but I think the third one is classic Goth.
I just shot my second goth girl portraits – I like the creativity they unabashedly bring to the table.
My my my… She reminds me of someone. Such a close to resemblance to someone I know I could name it off the bat… Except, the person I know dresses nearly the opposite of that. I know it’s dress-up, but still. Anywho, your daughter is very beautiful, and I love all of the photos. Either the first or third are my favorite. I’ve always taken an interest into goths, scenes, and ect. Things similiar to those groups. It’s just their style that invites me in, then their true beauty and personality that makes me want to stay. Anywho, good photos.
