“No!! PAINT!!!” she yelled back.
“Paint??” (squints at note and makes puzzled face) “That says PAINT?”
“YES!!! Can I paint???” she asked.
“Of course!” I said. “Just clean off the table first!”
And off she went. And I thought, I feel like I’ve been asking myself the same question. And it’s finally dawned on me, I’m the only one who can answer it.

Can YOU paint? I could answer that one… 😉
How cute!!! I thought it said plant too. lol. painting is good too! At what age is it not such a huge production and huge mess though to let them paint? Lora LOVES to paint but I always find myseld dreading that she’ll ask b/c she makes such a HUGE MESS.
That reminds me that DD probably needs some new paints as her old ones are really old and probably dried out by now.
I have an area in our basement that she’s allowed to “go to town” in. However, one of these days DH needs to install the sink down there so she doesn’t trek upstairs with her messy brushes…dripping on the carpet! :jawdrop:
So do we get to see her work of art?
Isn’t it funny how we forget to give ourselves permission to pursue the things that make us most joyous? The most satisfied? And yet, we do. All the time.
I love the note. I love kids’ notes in general. (suddenly I’m all nostalgic and misting up)
hehe 🙂
Awwww that chickiemonkey is just too cute for words :yahoo:
I hope you’ll save the note. That is so cute. I love that it said May I instead of Can I.
