aceo realistic imaginary creature by Leanne Wildermuth
Another realistic painting of an imaginary creature – meet Snairy. He’s a snail fairy, with leaf wings. I’ll scan and list him on eBay, or etsy – not sure which yet – once he’s dry. This teenie tiny painting measures in at 2.5″ x 3.5″ and is #2 in my ACEO collection. My first one, Drabulea, sold within the first day! (Thanks, Becky!)

    Cute little bugger, isn’t he?

Well, if it’s anything like Drabulea, its even better in person… but it looks pretty snazzy online, too!!!

He is definitely cute, but when I think of what the slugs and snails do to my Hostas I’m not sure he is my favourite little creature

Eeek! Stop that with the sqwishing! LOL

When I lived in California, I used to dodge the snails on the ground every morning. It would make my stomach FLIP when I wasn’t paying attention and heard the occasional crunch beneath my feet. I used to make up stories (I drew cartoons in my head) of Sammy the Snail, screaming in fear of the combat boot about to end his life.

We wouldn’t get snails, but we would get slugs all over the sidewalk when I lived at this one house in college. There wasn’t the distinctive crunch of the snail, but stepping on a slug could put you on your bum quick as a wink. Once you go down there’s no telling how many slug guts you would have on parts other than the bottom of your shoe!!

    Disgusting!!!
