I live for creative post titles.

    You know you’re a birdwatcher when….
You can spot the bird in this photo in 3 seconds or less.

    ssh. Don’t move.

If you hold really still and be quiet,
you can watch the hummingbirds as they perch and drink.

And in between Hummy visits, this Nuthatch duo will delight and entertain with their upside-down tree climby antics.

I love your feeder. And beautiful pictures as always. What’s on the schedule for today? I have to go get some pesticide to take care of the nasty flea beetles.

I need to grout the bathroom and mow two lawns. It’s gonna be a tiring day!

Pam, I think I might. Maybe. Of course someone has probably already done it, I should google first for copyright. :zombie:

I knew what I was looking for and still failed the 3 second test! LOL! We’ve tried to attract hummers here but our backyard is too warm for them…they prefer my neighbor’s shadier yard.
My silly birds update: the female has moved on, but her mate still sits in the nearby tree and sings his little heart out. Luckily there isn’t any nesting material all over my yard anymore. However, other birds have discovered my strawberries! DD had to release one from my netting yesterday, but not before the little sucker made off with all my half ripe strawberries!!! I need to go fix that net! It is almost time to net up the cherry tree.

oh and I got an email from “you” for my first ever post. LOL!

I spotted it right away. I love hummingbirds. We had babies in a tree right outside my kitchen window last year. They’d sit together on a branch like 3 tiny balls of fluff.

I miss my old backyard. I had a lemon tree filled with hummingbirds and little sparrow-y types. The grandest thing I ever saw was a red tailed hawk trying to get at the various nests in this tree and being chased off by a mommy and daddy hummingbird couple. It was magificent.
