My other Thirteens
2. I also had my eyebrows done for the first time ever. Yes. I did. And ow. Who the heck does that on a regular basis? That didn’t stop my headache, either. (Imagine that!)
3. I ordered 20 small canvases for a series I’m going to be doing. They arrived yesterday, and they are so cute! Many of you gave me suggestions (remember?) on small’ish bite sized foods. The canvas and the suggestions go together, and I’ll tell you the rest when I introduce the series.
4. I’ve been tossing around the idea of changing my gallery up again. It’s always last on my list of things to do because it’s such a brain-labor intensive task. I’ve even been considering a new :gasp: color scheme. I’ll paint for a while, first.
5. I’m glad to be painting again. My zone and I have missed eachother – it’s a place where I “chill”, where the paint flows, where it just happens. It feels like one of those warp dimension doors (think Sliders) that you’re nervous as heck to jump into, but once you do it’s a great ride and you end up somewhere really interesting.
6. I completed another custom illustration this week too, for a blog design, but I can’t show you that one until the blog goes live. It’s really cool, and I’m going to love having it out there. It’s part of my “new toon” style.
7. So, see? I’ve been really busy this week.
8. I’ll finish the other cat portrait today, you can come back later to see it if you’d like.
9. Spring has sprung, and my good friend’s snow is going to be melting soon. I’m excited to start working on that project, too.
10. I’m totally procrastinating my morning workouts this week because it’s Spring Break. My children have beaten a record every single day, consecutively, on how much earlier in the morning they can bicker than the previous morning. It’s such a fun week! Lots of sunshine and love at my house! Really! I love Spring Break! I kid. They sleep in, so I still get up early to work out, I just enjoy the non-sweaty silence for a smidge longer. (A smidge = 1 hour.)
11. I’ve been thinking alot about good old friends who have gotten busy on me, and I wonder if they stop by by blog anymore. If you are one of them, you know who you are, say hey – wouldjya? I’m thinking about you, yes – you!
12. We decided to tear down the carport, for those of you wondering the answer to that question. Dumpsters are cheaper – and the thing is a mess! Hopefully we can do that in the next month or so. Also, the other answers are (in no particular order), Bambi, iodine, $125, and no. Just in case you were wondering.
13. I only have one question this week – what is your definition of “a while”? When someone says “I’ll talk to you in a while”, how long do you expect to wait? If you say to someone “I haven’t seen you in a while!”, How long has it been?

“A while”? Hmmm…I’d go with somewhere between a couple weeks and a month or so. When I say I haven’t talked to someone “in a while” it’s probably been a handful of months at least.
Cat portraits? Oooooh…I’m intrigued. I will have to come back and check it out.

my youngest daughter (11) is starting to get her eyebrows waxed, she’s a real trooper and they do a much better job than i could ever show her.
as to your question, if i say i’ll talk to you in a while, i mean later that week, if i haven’t talked to you in a while, it’s been months.

I have a small finger food idea that just hit me! It is the food I sell lmao! I never thought about it until now and it is perfect! I will mail you a picture later on today if I can swing it! :dance:
I get my brows waxed about every 3 weeks. If I don’t, my poor eyebrows get totally out of control. It does hurt a little, but not too bad, but I certainly wouldn’t do it while I had a bad headache!!!
I’d love to get my face “tooned”…..that would be very cool! :cyclops:

I have been busy doing other things that make me happy. Like I walked w. a girlfriend yesterday and then had Yoga last night. Why do I have to work?
I can’t wait to see the new blog design. I like the cartoon look. Do you have one of those widgets that allows you to draw right to the computer? I have no idea what it is called, but want to look into one for my niece.

Awhile in I will talk to you in awhile is later. I haven’t seen you in awhile means a long time. Does that clear that up for you? I think once you keep getting your brows done, it stops hurting. Think about people who have brazilians on a regular basis! Yikes. I had a killer headache yesterday, too. Really bad.

My version of “awhile” depends upon the person. If I haven’t talked to my mom in awhile its been a week. If I haven’t talked to my brother in awhile its been 6 months. Its all relative to how often I talk to that person on a regular basis I suppose. If I haven’t talked to you in awhile I guess I’d call that 2 weeks. I hope your headache is better and I want to see a picture of your new haircut. Sorry about recommending the waxing, but if I didn’t do it my face would be a giant eyebrow with a mouth. Hugs, clara

Sorry about the headache…they stink! As for the “Awhile” quesiton….depends on who I say it to. If it’s someone close, it means in just a short time. If it’s someone I’m not so close too, don’t look for me anytime soon. That sounds bad doesn’t it? 😯 :giggle:

Did you think that your hair was so heavy it was giving you a headache…..ow, on the eyebrow thingy (I guess once your head is hurting why pamper it!)

I so understand the headache thing. I am one of those rare males that gets migraines. I had one on Monday and ended up putting ice on my temples in my office. That helped by the way.
My family always gives me the week off at Spring Break. The wife and sons are in NY with my in-laws living the good life. Tonight they are heading to the circus!
If I say I will talk to you in a while it means before two days have passed.
I have never had my eyebrows waxed but I let my wife pluck some very long hairs out of them the other day. We were all astounded that suddenly I have eyebrow hair that was almost as long as the hair on my head. ACK!

Headache is no fun! I’m sorry about that . . . a while, hmm . . . I think it depends on the context. If it’s with someone I regularly communicate, then probably a week or so. But it could mean months if it’s not someone I regularly communicate with. Interesting question . . . Happy TT!

Sorry I’ve been gone so long. I think I may have even switched identities on you. I used to be S.A.llwood but because of a stalker changed to SurrenderDorothy.
