Wanted to tell you that I just watched ‘Girl with the pearl earring” on cable..then checked out your portrait. It’s so beautiful and I can really appreciate it now after seeing the movie. Karen

For being an artsy movie, it was really good wasn’t it! I wanted to paint that piece for a long time. I read the book about a year ago, didn’t see the movie until after I had finished the painting. Still, I want to paint her again. From working your portraits I look on the wall and think “oh, I should have done this” or that she would look better if I’d used this color instead. I think it’s awesome that you watched the movie!!

Holy cow, first I was totally impressed with the drawing, uderstanding this is the underpainting, i am blown away. Can not wait till the finished product.
