My goal for tonight was to get this underpainting completed, and voila, done. I would like to finish this portrait tomorrow, but won’t even be able to begin working on him again until this layer is dry which will be around 1-2PM tomorrow afternoon. (Note to Riley’s dad, please let me know if the bed color is correct, the photograph was a toss up between drab olive and taupe plaid.)

I like your version of his bed better than his actual bed. Can you sew to? LOL LOL 🙂
Coming along great. WIll the backround be that color? Between that and the olive bed, will go perfect in the living room.
Ha! Yea I can sew, too. 😆 what kind of well-rounded artsy gal would I be if I couldn’t whip up a dress for my girls in under 15 minutes? 😛
I had still planned on adding some navy and maroon pinstriping to the bed (that’ll be last) unless you want me to leave that off?
The background is really rich, I’d call it bordeaux. I’ll lighten it up a bit to bring light into the painting.
I love it when my paintings match the couch!
I am good with the pin striping as well, the base color is what I love. I am so excited I may not be able to wait till our Anniversary.
OOOOh, love the bed! Looks great.

What a great painting of Riley on his bed. I wish our dog could have a bed – so far she has “eaten” three of them!
I’m with you Patti! Chloe’s eaten 3 just this past winter. I GIVE UP. I’m just going to put stuffing in her food dish. 😛
